Guest fredewis Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 guys dont you think the market main home looks a bit messy and paked. i mean that carusel seems to slow it down
Guest Sebastian404 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 This is what Honeycomb looks like, I called it. The general feeling around the office was that it had a drunken one night stand with Xbox Live.. Remember when Google hired the UI guy who used to work for Palm? Android 2.3 is the result. Wouldn't surprise me if we see further improvements in other apps too. By the looks of things, we are moving away from a colourful look, into a more sombre 'n sophisticated palette, lots of shaded grays and blacks with green highlights. I do like the way that if you're synced with a Google account, your status bar icons go from white to green. Think of Gingerbread as more of SnowLeopard, lots of effort has been expanded on the internals, and the externals just got a quick make over. I have to admit I LOVE my PalmPre, WebOS was a great first effort, WebOS 2.0 is getting there, shame they have to make the devices out of string and birds nests.. I'm on my 5th Pre in 10 months..... and a lot of that is down to Matias, I can only really see good things to come.

Aha, I wondered why the icons in the screen shots are green but the icons in the SDK framework are white. Makes sense now.
Guest factro Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 My ROM is based on the old leaked beta ROM so that's probably another bug. But I still likes your than new alpha..:)
Guest nick_sub Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 (edited) Am I the first one to get the new Market? Just went to the Market now and it has automatically updated. Time to have a play... Edit: Forgot to say this is on 2.1 (MCRr4). Edited December 17, 2010 by nick_sub
Guest nick_sub Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Well it looks a bit smarter. I think the tab-less apps pages is a slight improvement as the information is arranged in the order in which you would tend to read things anyway. I don't like having to expand the description though.
Guest rayraven Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Keeps force closing for me,any tips??

Guest markusj Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Mine updated today. Nothing special, just the looks... And it made my system crash & reboot. Hopefully, it won't happen again. (Finnish Fillyjonk 2.1 RLS2)

Hopefully, it won't happen again. (Finnish Fillyjonk 2.1 RLS2) I had several problems with FF (OLED Blade), including occasional random reboots, and relented and went back to the Hungarian BladeVillain by Freakers, which has been generally very stable. And WiFi seems far more stable. Both have excellent Battery life.... just make sure you turn off A-GPS!!!!!!!! Edited December 17, 2010 by Len Ash
Guest Treacles Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 I restarted my SF to see if it would update the Market place and it did, running slowly though? Im on MCR R4 with an OLED

Guest Treacles Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 OK. My /data/ folder is empty. Same with mine...
Guest Ralph Martin Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 When you guys say it comes OTA, do you specifically mean from the phone company? Or can it get automagically sent to you via WiFi?
