i have probelm on 1.5.1. cannot swicth to front camera..no option for front camera when press menu button for take pic..........second one......when i open app my PAPAGO x5.....it's keep restarting (rebooting) my phone. and already done reinstaliing many times

Edit: I'm using DJ_Steve's 1.5.1 from yesterday. BBand 800-US.

When using the map I get the dish icon, then a message about the location not being available. Tried last night too.

Edit: It only works when I have "Use wireless networks" selected.

One other issue I'm having is that I noticed when I put it in my pocket for a couple minutes, then take it out, the "swipe to open"(?) feature stops working. I can't power off either. It's like the touchscreen feature is disabled. I have to hold the power and the camera button to reboot. If I don't put it in my pocket, the swipe to open feature keeps working fine.

Edit: I found a post saying that 2.2's settings are more sensitive to heat. Recommended facing screen outward.

(I tried to submit these issues on streakdroid.com but I never got a confirmation (password) from the site and the password reminder feature hasn't worked for me either.)

I thought the 3gpp is just a shell for the 720p video... I believe it's still 720p but just in 3gpp format

Hmm, but on the beta build I upgraded from, they were 3gpp too and they didn't display in widescreen on the streak. On 2.1, the 720p vids were m4v IIRC, so strikes me as odd they'd be 3GPP.

The front video camera is for video call eg thro fring /skype. When you launch these programs, you will see the camera function

Pap[goX5 restarting - where did you get the program. As long as it is a legal official version, it will work without any issues. I have been using Papago since the days of 1.6 to 2.1 ( Pauls'build 6941 ) and Stephen Froyo ( 1.1.1, 1.4.6 and present 1.5.1). If your papgoX5 is a official version, reextract your files , possibly files corrupted

Does anyone else find 1.5.1 is really laggy compared to 1.5.0?

Its can be really slow to scroll, with or without setcpu doing its stuff.

Edit: i mean more jerky than laggy :s

What settings are you using in SetCPU?

I'm using 245-1190, conservative governor and it's beautifully smooth.

Same settings and Steve's 1.5.1 works flawlessly!!!

...hummm, apart from the problem I'm experiencing with SIM Toolkit module!!! But this is another story as described in another thread!!....

I've been using ADW throughout. Haven't even tried the alternatives.

If you use only ADW, go to /etc with root explorer and run removeapps.sh (set permissions if necessary).. that wil remove dell stage, launcher pro and a few more default apps...

I always run that script after the flash

Since ive been on adw its not laggy at all so i think its just a case of staying away from launcher pro... wish i knew that before i paid for it... ahh well.

I never noticed that! I've just run it and it says script exectued but its all still there. tried rebooting and no joy, still all there.

any ideas?

yeah, already set permissions and everything. and i was just about to post saying id been in to see what it was doing and ive been in and deleted the stuff i dont want.

Tried to go to camera application, and it writes "Cannot connect to camera". In the firmware 1.1 Everything was fine. What could be the possible solution for this problem? Thanks a lot.

I have no problems with launcher pro. All the launchers I've tried ran smooth, although I don't care for dell stage.

Got my Dell Streak back after bricking it a fortnight ago, is it fairly simple to get from stock 1.6 to Stephens 1.51? Kinda wary after ruining last phone but Dells official isnt downloading and always liked Stephens roms.

Is anyone having problems with in call volume? With the volume set all the way up during a call it is unbelievably loud. Press volume down and it barely changes for 2-3 clicks then on the next click it gets VERY quiet. There is no in between setting.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have noticed this same issue. Seems to be low or loud only, bottom is low and one up is loud, the rest does not change the volume at all for me.
