Guest BETTEROFTWOEVlLS Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I got that same exact error with screenshot earlier... I uninstalled, then reinstalled and its now working. Maybe worth a shot. At the time I had posted my comment I had already done that. I figured if SetCPU required being uninstalled and reinstalled, I may as well try it with Screenshot. At first it still didn't work and was giving me the same "error fb0" line, but after just trying it now it is working again. Apparently it just takes some time for it to get things sorted...?
Guest iskrosz Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 upgraded from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2 without any issues. love this release. great stuff Steve. keep it up.
Guest Green750one Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Jumping from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2 without factory reset , just a clean install , my battery life is going berserk ....... Used to drop about 3-4% after 9 hours standby with a few sms on 1.5.1 . Now , after waking up will a fully charged phone before I sleep , I'm getting a drop of 32% without a single missed call or sms . Anyone else facing this problem ? Wifi-OFF , GPS-OFF Forgot to mentioned I'm using 1800mah extended battery Yep, have same issue. I took my streak off charge at 10:20. It's now 10:48 & battery is at 86% & visibly dropping with nothing but about 10 mins web browsing. wifi is on & i'm running lookout, advanced task killer & 3g watchdog - but was on 1.5.1 too Ps 10:52 & 84% just while writing this post
Guest nanostreak Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 u just have to flash 1.5.2 from clockwork I, too, simply flashed 1.5.2 over 1.5.1 without bb change. I'm still on 130500-us without any problems. Added the old battery display fix from 1.5.1 to get rid of the green. Why are we supposed to flush bb or is this a misunderstanding? Great ROM, incredible work, donation on the way.
Guest Stephen Hyde Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 baseband seems to help fix gps issues some were having
Guest vinokirk Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Steve I'm still getting the same error as when I tried to flash 1.5.1: C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb logcat - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -
Guest Stephen Hyde Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Steve I'm still getting the same error as when I tried to flash 1.5.1: C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb logcat - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -[/code] flashes perfectly fine over here and seemingly for many others too so id suspect thats something your end
Guest PipoXtreme Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 flashes perfectly fine over here and seemingly for many others too so id suspect thats something your end Thx Steve for this great work... It works pretty well and smooth the 1.5.2 build... Can you maybe switch the white bar to blach for better contrast of the gingerbread icons ? Hopefully you can solve the call volume as well. Till now I don't receive a call to check it right now. But again great work thx.
Guest vinokirk Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 flashes perfectly fine over here and seemingly for many others too so id suspect thats something your end Any ideas what it could be? 1.5.0 flashes fine. 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 both throw me that error up. Ive just gone back to stock 6149 recovery and 8105 then tried to flash 1.5.2 again and the same error occured. Im on IRC now

Guest 35354464 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 just flashed from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2 without flashing the BB. It works fine  And with good status bar B)
Guest LiamD Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 "Steps 2-4 are only needed if you are coming from a build OLDER than 1.2" May want to change that since earlier in the post it says you need it for 1.5.1+
Guest rebski Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 anyone fancy comparing the network speeds (wifi and 3g/2g) between 1.5.2 and 1.5.1 for me, interested to see if my edits have done anything useful My experience shows the same for 1.4.6 and 1.5.2 28/12/2010 v1.4.6 7.53 down 1.03 Up 03/01/2011 v1.5.2 7.33 Down 0.94 Up However my iPhone 3GS is a different story 03/01/2011 iPhone 3Gs 11.05 Down 0.71 up I have had the Streak since June 2010 and the iPhone has always trounced it in SpeedTest. Is it to do with superior hardware, superior optimisation or both I wonder.
Guest rebski Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Yes this is where it gets confusing. I updated from 1.4.6 to 1.5.2 without updating the Baseband and I seem to be working fine. My current Baseband is GAUSB1A130500-EU If there is a more recent Baseband and the advice is to update to it then I have no problem with doing so. But, like I said, I seem to be doing OK as it is. Based on what has been said here in the meantime, I have just flashed the new amss.mbn My Baseband is now GAUSB1A131800-EU It is early days yet to make specific observations but all seems to be OK. At least I am reassured to be up to date.
Guest DMax99 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 hi, I don't know if anyone else has this problem. After I flashed to the 1.5.1 ROM, it makes my phone goes NUTS. Everytime when I turn on the phone with GPS enabled, my Beautiful Widget Clocks will make the phone restart. It will keep rebooting unless I turn off the GPS option. So I think GPS + Beautiful Widgets (or any other widgets that needs GPS) will make the phone not start properly but instead will restart the phone automatically. anyone else has the same problem? anyone knows how to solve this probl? CHEERS!
Guest TEC Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 just flashed from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2 without flashing the BB. It works fine  And with good status bar B) SAME HERE!! ...but flashed the black task bar with color icons. Couldn't see the new green icons too well.
Guest joefman Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 im off to work shortly, and try downloading on a different connection maybe? hi Steve, since installing 1.5.2 "skype" doesnt sign in. (official app) thank you for all your work.
Guest vanci8 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 hi! how it looks with battery on 1.5.2???
Guest LorD CLockaN Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 For me 1.5.1 burned battery like hell for first couple of days and than it suddenly stoped.. now 1.5.2 is burning battery like hell  hope that it will stop like 151
Guest Adam Mallinson Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Mine is running stock Dell 2.2. Tried 1.5.2 but got fc's everywhere. I couldn't even restart the phone. Tried to update the baseband, same problem. Tried factory wipe, phone got stuck on first dell logo B) Luckily I learn fast and now I do a full nandroid backup every time I try a new rom  Did you manage to solve all the FC's as im getting the same problem although i did manage to restart the phone. I followed the tutorial for the QDL tool (Couldnt get past dell logo on phone after trying to get clockwork reocvery on) and then to 1.5.2 with AMSS update, now getting force closes every time i boot up from lots of apps (Gmail, email, quick office, swype, android keyboard etc)

I've tried every single trick I know, including wiping the dalvik cache and I either have those fc's or the phone gets stuck at the first Dell logo

CHEERS! I use Beautiful Widgets Weather with GPS turned on with no issues. I have to have a little fiddle at first to get the gps to properly lock on my location and Moutain View but once done it is fine.
Guest mmp669 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 hi Steve, since installing 1.5.2 "skype" doesnt sign in. (official app) thank you for all your work. I am having the same problem. Not sure what's going on.
