Not sure what's going on.
Guest Edreamsz Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Guys I have a rebelsim unlocked Dell streak that had Version 1.5.0 AKA FaceTime Edition running perfectly. After trying to upgrade to 1.5.2 the streak is now getting stuck at the Dell logo with motion. Tried update.ip version 1.1.1 but still getting stuck till the Dell Logo with motion. Also getting tried a factory reset but still now solution to my problem. What can I do, please help!!
Guest Edrill Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 @Edreamsz: Flash 1.5.1 first. Let it boot up into 1.5.1 at least once, then you can flash 1.5.2 and it should work. If you get stuck at the Dell logo in 1.5.1, do a factory reset and you should get past that. Then you can go ahead and flash 1.5.2

But this does not happen everyone. I wonder if this is a bug with the no baseband version with rebelsim??

I have ClockworkMod Recover flashed as well. My baseband is GAUSB1A131800-US and my build number is 12821. I switched off the internal speaker when prompted but got no audio out of the dock speakers. I plugged in my headphones then removed them and the dock speakers started working. This was the normal routine with the last couple of builds. Then, after a few minutes, the audio switched back to the earpiece. Plug in and remove the headphones again and regain audio out of the dock speakers. A few minutes later, repeat.... Any ideas?

Follow the instruction at the bottom of post 1, all the steps Amss will give you the 318 baseband rather than the 309 you currently have.

I am about to update it now. Have a great night. Update *** Just updated like Kohawk said, and its FLAWLESS!!! Fast as the Flash on speed, and I love the new animation with the text messages. Nav works like a charm with Gps enabled. Great work Stephen! Used the Miui music player, and LOVE IT!!!!! Unless something out of the blue happens, I LOVE THIS NEW BUILD!!!!!!!!! Guest iskrosz Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Jumping from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2 without factory reset , just a clean install , my battery life is going berserk ....... Used to drop about 3-4% after 9 hours standby with a few sms on 1.5.1 . Now , after waking up will a fully charged phone before I sleep , I'm getting a drop of 32% without a single missed call or sms . Anyone else facing this problem ? Wifi-OFF , GPS-OFF Forgot to mentioned I'm using 1800mah extended battery are you using Dell Stage? and using the default social app FB or Twitter? i remove it and the battery started to behave well.

I had put it down to excessive/sudden current draw from the wifi, gps and overclocked processor. Once I disabled setcpu I stoppped having issues and can reliably use wifi and gps together. I may be wrong (it was just a hunch), but after trying without setcpu (and not having crashes) I reinstated but dropped to max core speed to 1Ghz (ie so allow underclocking for power saving) and still not crashes so far. Guest Stephen Hyde Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 some distanc e from gingerbread, thank google for changing the driver frameworks so much froyo drivers wont work on gingerbread, and 1-2 fps speeds make it totally unusable at min on the plus side though for those of you who havn seen my twitter posts heres a quick preview of 1.5.3 :unsure:
