Hi,

Last week I posted that when using the vega with this site I could not access any other pages on the site through the links at the top of the home page?

This is still the case,I have tried various things but its stuck on the windows phone page?

Even after I log on to the site then i click on the android link at the top it seams like its loading but then it tells me I am at the windows phone page again?

This happens no matter what link I press and it is also only on my vega my laptop is ok.

I am a paid member of the site but I can only get to the windows phone page any suggestions please.

You could just go to http://vega.modaco.com to get here directly...

I had this very same problem using my HTC Hero when I was playing with various browsers. If I used Mirren or stock I had no problem.

I get the same problem. Im currently typing were I want to go in google. i.e modaco vega

Cheers Many thanks will try that just curious as to why it doesn't work on the vega by clicking the links and on some other sites?

Thought that some of you clever tech people might be able to see why this is so as a few other people are having the problem.

UPDATE*** your link does not work still get bounced to the windows phone home page!!! :)

I had that problem, pretty sure using DolphinHD with browser agent set to 'Desktop' is what fixed it for me.

There's also a nice desktop/android toggle on the Market for DolphinHD, works well.

Silly question, but have you tried emptying the history, saved data, & cache. And then rebooting. Might help.....

i've noticed a few small probs recently...

off the top of my head, these two are the most annoying for me

linking to individual posts doesn't seem to work here *shrug* (might just be an IE prob while i'm @ work tho :) )

and when i'm on my phone sometimes it takes me multiple presses of the back button to exit a forum thread and return to the index

I agree Jon, I've not been able to download baked baked Roms etc or access the andoid part of Modaco for over a week now, I know there are work-arounds to get to the Vega stuff, but why isnt it working and why can't I download ?

It's just one of those problems about some sites. A lot of it is down to trying to pander to different browsers and devices. Personally I think that there is a standard for a reason and trying to make sites display properly on different systems is stupid the browser designers would get there act together quicker if they weren't let of with it. And in general I dislike sites that are constantly trying to assist you to where it thinks it should be.

But no point ranting on just like on desktops not every site works the same everywhere you just have to deal with the realities of the situation and work around it accordingly.

I know how you feel its bloody frustrating we have some very clever people on this site you would have thought that some one would rise to the challenge but who am I to rant!

Have you tried downloading the baked roms from another computer? And installing it that way?

Yeah, it works fine that way...just means I have to keep using my netbook, which I was going to give to my daughter! Ah well :)

Hi Jon, yes just grab it from the Market, do a search for DolphinHD. Once installed and running, go to the menu (long press 'Back' hw button). Change the setting. Cross your fingers.

Ok... it must be some kind of formatting issue. I am typing this on my Vega using the new Skyfire browser. Tried everything else without any luck. Must say this seems a well polished piece of software... give it a try and see how you get on.
