Guest sipart Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 You get a set of arrows and numbers in landscape mode on thumb keyboard. I'd make quite the salesman for this I think :-) +1 for thumb keyboard - great to have cursor control arrows - well worth 60p
Guest surly cat Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 slide it has no arrow keys. Take another look at Symbols (?123) page 4.
Guest Dayzee Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Take another look at Symbols (?123) page 4. OK - I meant on the main keyboard - Slide it has arrow keys that are at least 4 clicks away and therefore no use as its quicker to delete and retype.... Might take a look at something else, because slide it is getting so full of errors due to sliding 7 inches between letters that its not useable as a slide input on the Vega - in my opinion, of course.
Guest Graham Macleod Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 I'd make quite the salesman for this I think :-) You certainly do! Thanks so much. It's a beautifully thought out keyboard. Superb :(
Guest Mushey Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I discovered this sliding style keyboard a couple of months ago and have been using it ever since. It is called SlideIT. Since I bought it I haven't used anything else. It works great and is much more accurate then the ones I tried before. Sending emails is much faster now, and I can tweet with one hand in about 5 seconds! I recommended it to all my family, and even my father manages to use it on the new tablet we got him for his birthday, and he used to have trouble using a mouse! I found it at http://mobiletextinput.com/Product/SlideIT...id/download.php.
Guest rferrett Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I had the slide it keyboard on my desire. However i found it pretty flawed and ended up joining the swype beta instead, much, much better. Swype are appqreently bringing out a tablet version so watch this space.
Guest Touch Graphite Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 The only reason I can see why the space/full stop error occurs is that the stock keyboard thinks you can physically press the same key/another key within a pico second and this is normal. If there is a setting which can be adjusted so that the max typing speed can be restricted, then I'm sure this error can be sorted. This nanosecond click speed error only happens at the edge of the screen too! One way I can re-create this is to lightly touch the Alt/123 button at the bottom left. Sometimes it will flick back and forth from letters to numbers at lightning speed.
Guest godinandroid Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 ^^^ I mentioned this in another thread, it would be so useful :/
Guest Touch Graphite Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Ah cool, honesty I didn't copy. Being a service engineer, I'm good at visualizing the problem, but not so good in solving it.
Guest rferrett Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 In something of a "no s*** sherlock" moment in Smart Keyboard pro I for the first time noticed the keyboard calibration option. And guess what? It has improved my Vega typing *no end*. Who'da thunk it! :D
