I'm not sure who's most confused; you, or us trying to work out what you're trying to do :D Let's start again. What are you trying to do? PS. I didn't ask what's wrong, I can see what, but what are you hoping to do - and please don't say fix it! :D Edited June 6, 2011 by simonta

I just would like to know how to proceed and to understand what I am doing is right or wrong if that makes sense. Cheers, Jeff Edited June 6, 2011 by Diveokidoki

"Stopped coming back on" then"able to get it a few times into recovery mode to get the vega to normal working order". I going to assume that you want to start again. Get it into recovery again - you'll see the APX driver with a yellow exclamation mark. Run AUDI, select the second option, click "Next Step", select "Install the correct driver" then "Just get on with it". If AUDI doesn't go green. Come back and tell us what operating system you're using. If it does go green, then run the installer for the stock ROM from myadventvega. After this, install Vegacomb (or ROM of choice) again. Good luck Simon

Guest HypoTurtle Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) Thanks for that I went to the site looked at the user manual but nothing in there that brings it back to life, I have tried most of the things now sinds 1 pm but nothing seems the work I had it a few times in recovery mode but what to do then???? The only thing you need is the stock flash image 1.10, if your vega is in recovery mode download the image and just run it and your vega should be back to stock, this is all assuming you have the right drivers installed. Edit: you do seem more confused than I first thought, are you getting vega recovery mode confused with clockwork mod recovery? Edited June 6, 2011 by HypoTurtle
Guest Diveokidoki Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Sorry Jeff, still confused :D Are you just trying to install VegaComb? I was trying to install Vega comb but I will be giving up on that as I am going no where as the instructions are to complicated for me, for now i just want my vega back to life, Just let me know when there is a Vega day and I will try to make it and see how others do it. I was able to install a ROM for my San Fransisco earlier because the instructions where clear for me to follow. Cheers Jeff

Cheers Jeff There are many very good guides on installing ROMS on the Vega and recovering the system so please don't blame the instructions, I'll try and find a few links and upload them here for you. Edit : First I'd suggest looking at the link contained here to see if they can help http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...guides-how-tos/ or look at beepo666 guide which alot of people have found easy to understand http://u.bb/C9o Edited June 6, 2011 by HypoTurtle

Guest HypoTurtle Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 I am in recovery mode now and just got a message that the android ABD interface was installed but it says but it doesnt recognize that I am in recovery mode Would I be right in saying that you are referring to the cmd window that appears when you run the stock 1.10 program?

Thanks jeff Jeff, you are getting yourself confused. It is impossible to be in recovery mode and have the ADB drivers installed. Recovery mode is when you press back for 2 seconds, power for 2 seconds etc. What do you mean by recovery mode? There will be one of two drivers loaded in recovery, APX (wrong driver) or NVidia Harmony Recovery driver (correct driver). Remember that in recovery, you will see nothing on the Vega, not even the backlight. YAUDIG is as simple a guide as it gets to installing the drivers. This guide is also very simply written and is excellent. http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...lling-vegacomb/

Guest simonta Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Simon I have the following in the green box now the recovery driver is correctly installed you may continue to flash the stock rom.... what is next? Run the installer for the Advent "stock" ROM from myadventvega.

Guest simonta Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Ok Simon, We are back on now the Setup wizard is just finish loading whats next pls, Hoooooraahhh Complete the wizard, leave it for a minute or two then reboot. Next, we'll install a custom ROM to give you market, all the updates and so on. I would stay clear of Vegacomb unless you're an enthusiast and into swapping ROMs all the time. Too many things not working, not least Flash, to make it good for day to day use (although the team working on that are doing amazing work and I reckon they'll get there soon). Do you have any specific needs for your Vega? If all the usual things, I recommend Corvus5 ROM. It's fast and stable and has most of the latest goodies and fixes. In the meantime, when your Vega hass rebooted, turn on USB Debugging (Settings->Applications->Development) and don't turn on USB Storage. Then use AUDI to install the ADB drivers (select the first option). Then go here to install CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041036

Guest simonta Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 (edited) Good evening Simon, The ABD drivers are installed what and how will i install clockwork and corvus5 they are on my laptop now. Thanks Jeff Jeff, sorry. Mrs T grabbed me last night and whisked me off for curry and beer. Had to be done... http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...asy-install-v2/ With the ADB driver loaded, install CWM using this fine tool. Then, copy corvus5 ROM to your SD Card and use the "Recovery" app installed with CWM to reboot into it and choose, from memory, Install ZIP from SD Card->Select ZIP. Browse to the Corvus5 ZIP and off it goes! Good luck. Edited June 8, 2011 by simonta
