I love you too man.....

I love you more :P , oh and divi before you go straight into flashing the corvus5 rom you may want to use your new cwm to do a complete backup of where you are now, then clear cache, factory reset all data and in advanced tab wipe dalvik cache to enable a clean install of the new rom.

Jeff, sorry. Mrs T grabbed me last night and whisked me off for curry and beer. Had to be done...

http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...asy-install-v2/

With the ADB driver loaded, install CWM using this fine tool. Then, copy corvus5 ROM to your SD Card and use the "Recovery" app installed with CWM to reboot into it and choose, from memory, Install ZIP from SD Card->Select ZIP. Browse to the Corvus5 ZIP and off it goes!

Good luck.

Hi Simon, no worries I have been following your steps but the recovery icon doesnt appear in the apps window nor do I have the feeling that colck work was installed I have been trying to use your audi program but when I go look for drivers the cw is not there????

I am working very different shifts this week so we will probably not be on line at the same time. Any news on a Vega Day yet????

Thanks for all your help

Jeff

if the drivers have been installed correctly try a different app, install vegatools 3 from solidare onto your pc/laptop. then hook the lap top up to your vega and set usb debugging enabled on the vega ( in development settings ) then when this is done run vegatools click on the tab marked recovery and click install recovery and cwm and it will install it all on the vega for you.

then you can do your cwm backups and flash new roms etc.

i wouldnt use vega tools for installing roms it makes a very easy task more complicated, use vega tools to install clockwork mod recovery and the recovery app.

when you have done this copy the corvus5 zip to your sd card and do NOT at any time unzip it ( downloads folder i keep mine in ) or just download the corvus5 zip straight from your vega.

then once you have corvus5 zip on your vega do the following.

all on the vega!

using the recovery app go into clockwork mod recovery.

once the vega has booted to recovery select

backup

then do a complete system backup

then and only then ;)

wipe date/factory reset ( or similar)

wipe or clear cache

under advanced clear dalvik cache.

then finally install zip file from sd card

select the corvus5 zip and it will self install

enjoy your new rom

Thanks

enjoy your new rom

you dont make it easy to read your questions ;) :D

if cw is installed and working fine i would suggest from now on you do all your downloads directly on your vega as teh whole point of cwm is it negates the need for your pc, however just copy teh zip from your pc to the vega using teh vega usb cable and usb transfer ( no debugging ).

for teh read the! :P

Jeff, what are you trying to do? The only thing you need recovery for is starting from scratch with the Advent stock ROM (factory reset).

Hoorraaaayy finally success thanks Simon and Premieral, all obstacles are overcome now and a bit better understanding on how to do this all by using Vega tools and AUDI.

Simon what do you advise to install with whats available on Vega tools?

Cheers guys

Jeff
