function of sixangle button on i8000

It's quite unusual to ask something like that, but i have bought used samsung i8000 and i would need to knew if there six-angle button betwen call and stop call bottons have only button function or also can be used for navigation through menu,internet... like a square on i900, etc

Sorry pal, it is a question I asked myself too at first. But the right answer seems to be that it is a push down button only.
