But the other thing I noticed was that make sure the default language is set for the appropriate English. I know there are several roms floating around and most have them set to UK English by default (which should work for you judging from your location in your profile), but you should double check it. As it turns out it didn't work well for me when I was speaking English, but my phone was expecting to hear "Proper English" as my friends from the UK call it :) Just as an aside - I don't know why Google didn't make Voice Search usable over bluetooth. This worked for me...
