The build quality is FAR from crappy.

We obviously have different definitions of what constitutes good or crap - and the blade definitely falls under crap IMO. But I don't care, for the reasons I outlined in my previous post.

Warranty claims will see any problems sorted (even if it does mean dealing with orange CS).

Hehe,

Even if the sf isn't huge on quality, i reckon the average user's sense of humour is TOP quality :)

You obviously haven't seen some of the real crap coming out of China! The SF build quality is reasonable.

I paid £100 (using an old Orange PAYG sim I had around).

Bang for buck this is the best phone I have EVER had in 15 years of owning phones.

look at it from a different perspective:

At least you dont need a 10p rubber band to make your £600 fruit themed device work properly!!!

The build quality is OK. It is not made out of aluminium and glass like my nokia N8 but, as others have said, it cost 1/3 of the price of more expensive phones and it is a lot less buggy than the N8. I have had the problem with the squeeky back. I didn't try the blue-tac, The cause is the small clip on the bottom (left one I think) not being long enough. If you take the back off, squeeze the two edges next to the bottom clips together for a while (not so hard that you crack the case) then that will fix it for a week or two. I guess if you were feeling adventurous then you could heat the case while you were squeezing it and it may stay like that but I don't have the guts fot that.

Of course, but I didn't want to overreact. If his wifi cuts out aswell I will consider increasing the level....

It's quite hard to beat at the price, eventhough they changed the screen to LCD.

Will that mean changing the bulb?

Yep, we were both lucky enough to grab them while they were OLED :)

When I press my phone with my fingers from the sides or back it squeeks and stuff.

Very disappointed.

This device is CHEAP, so maybe one would be making assumption that they are 'baking' the device for less than £99.

Now we must be expecting all of the parts and manufacturing cost and distribution cost and development cost and advertising cost and is not exceeding the prce of £99.

bacause they will making loss, which we chinese do not think about doing.

I mostly concerned about the "and stuff" bit... im concidering selling mine incase it starts doin "stuff"

its already got one fault. when i use it, the battery runs down. for £100, i didnt expect that to happen. :)

i literally drop mine like 3 times a day ( i have an extreme case of butter fingers) and all i have is some cosmetic damage around the edges.

my brother on the other hand was careful with his blade but one morning he woke up and the screen was cracked so thats a bit weird.

also my one my one makes a horrible creaking sound when i use the volume rocker, but im not complaining because this phone is probably the best value for money ive had in my life...

I'd like to chip in and say that mine also makes a clicking noise when pressed like in the video however I really don't care :D

admittedly it would have been nice if I'd got it for £100 instead of £120 and it would have also been nice if it was OLED instead of TFT but so what? soon enough the OLED versions are going to end up being to oddities ;)

now if I squeeze it in a couple of weeks and it snaps in two then I might give a damn :)
