Guest Redmirage Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 (edited) This is calibration app for ux100(vega clone) install and do calibration Never touch anything while app calibration!!! app will calibration itself. your own risk. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FOPHAS7O Edit. Many people report that touch issue is fixed after recalibration. So If some problem on keyboard or touch, Just try it. And I'm happy to hear that this works on vega. Webmachines(retailer of ux100) made this app for ux100 users. So i can't change or improve this app.[i'm just 'user', not developer :) ] Tip Before calibration, active usb host mode. If some trouble while calibration, you can see serious problem on touch. then this will help you. - connect usb mouse and you can find X mark on screen - do recalibration (Never touch screen while calibration and no charge) Edited January 18, 2011 by Redmirage

Hey brave guy~ Try it. (your own risk.) Ehm, I think you forgot something... like the app itself?
Guest Redmirage Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Ehm, I think you forgot something... like the app itself? sorry :) Can i upload apk file on modaco? i think i can't
Guest semteXKG Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 nice, but doesn't fix the dead zone issue for me.
Guest zzleezz Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Worked for me. Fixed deadzone in bottom left of screen and over sensitivity issue. Many thanks :-)
Guest lordjubblydave Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 OMG! I think I love you. You just saved. My. Vegas ass. Before that app it would have been impossible for me to type this. Even navigating to this page would have been a chore . Thanks
Guest godinandroid Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Nice find thanks:) Has fixed the deadzone at least 95% and has stopped alot of the double tap problems.
Guest gingercat Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Thanks for this - can now use symbols on gingerbread keyboard properly now.
Guest godinandroid Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 I calibrated it while charging and it didnt fix the over sensitive problem, it might be a bit better tho.
Guest zzleezz Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 I calibrated it while charging and it didnt fix the over sensitive problem, it might be a bit better tho. Seeing as the charger destabilizes the screen I don't think calibrating it while charging is a good idea. I cleaned my screen thoroughly, made sure it was not touching anything and then calibrated it. Perfect now. I had stopped posting on here as I couldn't face fighting the keyboard. Now I'm able to almost touch type with only very rare double spaces. Was at the point where I was waiting for PC World to get some shop stock so I could exchange I for a working one :-) I reckon the Vega does a calibrate on its first power up and that all these "faulty" ones were just held in someones left hand while they went through "quality control". Might try calibrating it with my thumb on the edge of the screen. Propose to name this problem - Waiters Thumb :-)
Guest carl rose Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 I calibrated it while charging and it didnt fix the over sensitive problem, it might be a bit better tho. Same here. It does react better at the edges but it does not erradicate the problem completly. Thanks to the uploader all the same. Good find
Guest simonta Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Redmirage. You sir, are a steely eyed missile man. My screen was working great, no dead zones, no double taps but, sometimes I would accidentally select an item when scrolling through a list. The screen was a little too sensitive. Running this has sorted it. Thank you!
Guest ptbw Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 This is calibration app for ux100(vega clone) ... Excellent find, it does appear to improved touch accuracy especially on the top right position (home) when landscaped, camera to the top.
Guest terminaljunkie Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Excellent find, it does appear to improved touch accuracy especially on the top right position (home) when landscaped, camera to the top. I was sceptical but have found that there is a marginal improvement for me. Great find and thanks for posting!

Guest gdwhitehouse Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) I thought mine was pretty good before tbh, just occasional double taps when using the space bar - however it appears to be even better since running this app. Thanks for posting the link - brilliant! Guest remlap Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 I had real problems sending the notifications pop up away with my index finger at the bottom of the screen I had to press it hard with my thumb, now no such problems! Thanks for the tip a real great find.
Guest Bobbler Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 This is just perfect now. No more double press in the bottom left of my screen - which was the only occassional problem I had with this. Just done this whole post without a single miss key issue like I had just a few minutes before. Serious thanks
Guest nicholson101 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Great find! Had problems with typing and double presses but all seem much smoother now, you sir win 9000 internets!!!!1!1!!!
Guest smlo Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Excellent! Much better now. ;) +1 still a bit sensitive but a big improvement
