Guest fischschneehase Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 managed to make a quadrant scores arround 900 at 960 mhz.... until now i dont see any improvemnts in 2.3 except the speed ... what is realy new?
Guest Splux Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 regardless of the 2 finger confusing, the center of the 2 fingers is not affected, and should be able to use 2 finger drag perfectly fine, however, 2 finger rotate will have issue of course Ah, didn't really know how it worked, so I just guessed... :( Then I've no clue... Are you sure it was the browser from 2.3 that had that function?
Guest Morris Lee Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Ah, didn't really know how it worked, so I just guessed... :( Then I've no clue... Are you sure it was the browser from 2.3 that had that function? I saw it in a video demo a while ago, but i can't find it anymore. They did implement the 2 finger drag on the google maps, so that further showed the possibility that they might have added to the browser or we might have to wait for 3.0 then ;)

Guest Morris Lee Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Same for me, USB storage no longer works!
Guest Splux Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Same for me, USB storage no longer works! did you do anything special when it stopped working? So I know what I shouldn't do :(
Guest Morris Lee Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 did you do anything special when it stopped working? So I know what I shouldn't do :( after the first reboot, the curse will be casted, HAHA. GPS is not working, not even the one that roggin says it works. Neither is the light sensor, AHH!! what is going on!?

Mostly what is new is speed improvements and things for developers, new api for SIP call and other stuff :( (great new api for debugging things that take up cpu or IO) For me usb mass storage works in my rom, but it does seem like gps has some trouble. I can see it finds satelites using a gps status/test application but it only stays connected to 1-2 of them others get disconnected at once so it never gets a good fix on location :/ (although I am inside, but close to window so it might also be a problem. But I am pretty sure it was working at this place with the MIUI rom)

(android is made to use binary proximity sensor, while our sensor gives a distance number) Edit: I can confirm usbmasstorage stops working after reboot in my rom... strange edit2: btw, for everyone having sluggish ADW launcher. You can find gingerbread launcher on the market, I downloaded that and it works great :( Edited December 29, 2010 by koudelka

Guest koudelka Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 What about GPS? roggin says it works in the first post, did it break :S? maybe :( remember, this rom is under alot of development not only by us but also by CM team they are pushing alot of changes all the time http://twitter.com/#!/cmsrc It will probably take some time for it to become stable

Guest kenelm Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 You have liquid E? Your cache partition is full.. have to relocate dalvik-cache. No, I'm using Liquid. But why so little cache space ? @@ Only less than 100 apps installed.
Guest snootched Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 No, I'm using Liquid. But why so little cache space ? @@ Only less than 100 apps installed. Not 100% sure.. but different bins format the partitions differently. For example, on 4.504b I had a cache partition of ~80MB, but on the final bin, my cache partition is ~40MB. I believe the devs are aware of this... so hopefully in future updates this is considered. Cheers
Guest Morris Lee Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Yeh, I been using 4.504b ever since, less problem

I noticed one thing, are not allowed the init-scripts, I tried to enable them, in init.rc but have not been able to rebuild a working boot. What am I doing wrong? thanks in advance .. Guest L0cu7us Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 usb tether doesn't work for me, usb mass storage for now works, battery drain is top high (like all phh-based kernels ;-), if acer release froyo kernel sources i think we'll see a very good rom porting... Doesn't know why acer isn't releasing froyo kernel sources...
