Guest anavel Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 I cannot install GO SMS; CEDIME, with liquid E, any solution?
Guest Borkata Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Hi thepasto, You can test another deploy option in liquidmkbootimg. In my case, sometimes =0 is working, sometimes =1 is working. Thanks. And be aware that boot.img is not larger than partition. @roggin and other devs: Please disable debug options (build as release) so kernel is smaller. I think it should possible :(
Guest munchy_cool Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 roggin when do you plan to push the sources onto github? I read the first post says this week, just want to confirm the same. Thanks.
Guest roggin Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Hi all, I am so angry after reading this post in internet. :( Hello everybody, I would like to advise you that the Andrea who roggin referred to is me: 「After some days trying with *Andrea*, we successfully make Gingerbread runs on our liquid, *we*…」 This is easily understandable by reading the first 9 words of the first post. You couldn't understand that roggin spoke about Andrea1Liquid (me) by those words, but you can understand that the making of the ROM was not due to a single person. If you read a bit more you would find out he was talking about Andrea1Liquid (me) and that I participated too. That's the frase I wrote to a user: 「Btw, not to be rude but, roggin did a very very very good job but, I worked too with him… *Andrea*1Liquid」. Moreover, another 「clue」 to arrive at this conclusion is the amount of technical information I wrote using 「we」 not 「I」 as Subject Pronoun. The error wasn't intentional (at least I think), but it would be better if you better check your sources before posting a news. *We* (me and roggin) are working hard to let Liquid users enjoy Gingerbread on their devices and I think that the right credits should be given for that hard work. That said, there's another thing to explain: me and roggin are part of a team (Liquid Community Dev Team), so the final version will be released as CDT, not as roggin. Thanks, Andrea Today, someone ask me why I take all credits to myself. Ok, I want to clarify that all working are belong to me. Andrea1Liquid, Could you please answer me which part of work is yours? No one! I mention you in the first page is based on the politeness as a Chinese. Yes, koudelka and CedricGatay has ever help me, but not you. ;) You are just a poster when I said which part is fixed. If u can give me a reason or a apology, I will forgive you. If not, I will release all conversation logs in gtalk to see "which part" is your working. Thanks.

Damn, I hope things won't turn bad between important guys in the community... ;) Keep up the good work roggin, you know you'll ever be welcomed on the IRC channel ;)

I kept some "nice" MP's i had with him too, just in case.... @roggin : don't do the same mistake as me, just ignore him. Edited December 30, 2010 by vache

I kept some "nice" MP's i had with him too, just in case.... @roggin : don't do the same mistake as me, just ignore him. I never said Andrea1Liquid was :( but it is the kind of affair that can mess the entire community :-( OT @vache : so what's your feeling on LiquitMetal ? I still don't know what to buy next month ;)
Guest vache Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 OT @vache : so what's your feeling on LiquitMetal ? I still don't know what to buy next month :( Go for it, you will not be disappointed ;) Great battery life, great overall performance. Hard to find a better phone at this price.
Guest CedricGatay Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Go for it, you will not be disappointed :( Great battery life, great overall performance. Hard to find a better phone at this price. Ok I think I'll follow your advice, or be weak and spend more on a Nexus S...
Guest Morris Lee Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Ok I think I'll follow your advice, or be weak and spend more on a Nexus S... Why not nexus s? 1 full ghz, native gingerbread, less likely using a crappy touchscreen sensor
Guest L0cu7us Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 isn't better to wait for a tegra2 (LG 2X ?) device ?
Guest simoneser Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Why not nexus s? 1 full ghz, native gingerbread, less likely using a crappy touchscreen sensor Well, the only thing that I would miss if I will buy a Metal would be Gingerbread (I'm sure Acer will release an update for it), display (SuperAmoled, I don't care about plastic: it's also more hot respect to the cooold glass) and front camera (but I don't really care about this). It has better materials and is so better-looking than Nexus S, and it records in 720P (S 480P, but I think that the camera is slightly better), i think much better audio (friends told me that audio quality is really high), and it costs way less. Oh, and I hate Samsung :(
Guest koudelka Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Ok I think I'll follow your advice, or be weak and spend more on a Nexus S... I really want to buy nexus S, after reading about the great battery life it has :(
Guest roggin Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 roggin when do you plan to push the sources onto github? I read the first post says this week, just want to confirm the same. Thanks. Hi munchy_cool, Yes, I will release it maybe tomorrow, but it has some dirty hacks in it. :( . I will clean it up. Thanks.
Guest Piter1225 Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Ok I think I'll follow your advice, or be weak and spend more on a Nexus S... Thats right, in that price range Acer Liquid Metal has no competitors, but if you have possibility to spare some more, I would advice you to get Nexus S instead, because this device will have long live, thanks to Google's official support & some CM love... But I will rather go for LG Star, or maybe HTC will show sth interesting on CES... @Roggin I understand your statement, hope you will continue your good work on Liquid developement
