Guest Koki1337 Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 tempted, but gonna wait till wifi and 3d acceleration is working. keep it up CDTeam! WiFi worked for me. Somehow the problem for me is the Titanium backup. I can't restore 90% of my apps.

Guest OpenWebdesign Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Is memory management horrible like in Froyo ROMs or is it solved? I have Liquid A1 (256MB)
Guest pgr79 Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 hello to every1, firstly let me wish you a fantastic 2011! just installed the last Roggin's ROM, but I' m facing very strong problems (already present in his froyo ROM and in others based on the same kernel) : reboot during installation of some apks, also after a fresh installation, wiped all (repartitioned the sd card for deleting the ext partition not actually supported), so a really clean starting situation: first boot, first login in the market, my apps and some apps to update (gmail, superuser, ...) , always reboot same situation searching some apps and installing through the market :-( I think it's a common problem reading 4-5 pages before, anyone has a workaround or any idea for fixing it? I'm really impatient to "play" with the 2.3 android version... but to can not install apps is a gating problem :-( Thanks in advance!
Guest Rajit Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 On the last page, andrea mentioned that he'd solved the random reboot bug. Wait for that fix to be integrated.
Guest thepasto Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 (edited) I enabled busybox run parts script, and i add a2sd (Darktremor Apps2SD) and some other features. INSTALL ON TOP CM-gingerbread ONLY!! Do a nandroid before start Download CM_A2sd flash it from recovery. To add more features to your rom (like zipalign on boot, etc...), read Darktremor howto. to enable A2sd: adb shell a2sd reinstall[/codebox] To solve dalvik-cache problems: move cache to sd [codebox]adb shell a2sd cachesd or move cache to /cache adb shell a2sd cachepart[/codebox] I also add: Fix sdcard partitions Sensitivity patch on boot (30/65) (restore default sensitivity here) Fix haptik feedback (default disabled, you can dis/enable form gscript haptic_on.sh haptic_off.sh) Ads filter if you have problems let me know. Thanks again to all our dev Edited January 2, 2011 by thepasto

Guest Morris Lee Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 From what I understand is that the kernal consists of all the drivers, why would the graphics driver so glitchy once we are under gingerbread? we are on the same kernal still, what is really different?
Guest pgr79 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 On the last page, andrea mentioned that he'd solved the random reboot bug. Wait for that fix to be integrated. I don't think it 's the same problem, anyway I 'll wait for udates

Something to do with the API has changed causing it all to be odd, as far as I'm aware anyhow. Harness.
Guest Nesli Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 So,here is my feedback after two days of testing: 1) Huge battery drain - its around half of battery lifetime compared to LCR B) 2) Light sensor seems to be broken, also prox. sensor is sometimes buggy 3) I´m randomly loosing data connection in this ROM, many times a day, i need to reconnect data manually ( switch to airplane mode or disable/enable data), its really anoying  - But anyway, perfect work, thx for this ROM and im waiting for new releases

I saw markII's MIUI thread, it seems the same problems in my tetherble wifi module. B) 2)Sensor itself is fixed, but I haven't patch the framework to let it working. 3)I have the same problems today, I haven't got any clue yet. Thanks.
Guest tmp_do Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Thanks, thepasto. Roggin, how about add this to the next release? (When you have some spare time in your busy schedule on your dissertation.) no way, roggin, plz dont do it! no more clutchers in your roms, plz!

Thanks. roggin, thanks for your reply. I already tried thepasto's zip file but without success: same behavior and after the "a2sd reinstall" command I receive a following message the situation was only a big FAT partition on SD now I wiped all again, and repartitioned the sd card with an ext partition, again after thepasto's patch it seems to be solved, hope it's useful if something has my same problem!

Dont need it now and more battery should be good..B) 2) :D 3) yep,i hope that it isn´t hard to fix it :D I´ll keep my fingers crossed  EDIT: With this kernel, it looks that the wifi module is still activated, even when it is set to off..When I compared consumption - LCR with wifi on - same cons. as on this ROM with wifi off, and when I turned wifi on, battery drain is the same as on off ..? Guest thepasto Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Hi thepasto, Cool, . Would you mind if I merged it to gingerbread ROM? B) Thanks. Sure!! You do not even have to ask me! I only have one request .. When you rebuild the kernel, could you add the loop module? It would be useful to use data2ext.
Guest Morris Lee Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Roggin, please keep the rouch screen sensitivity at 75/75, because some people get random touches!!
Guest thepasto Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Roggin, please keep the rouch screen sensitivity at 75/75, because some people get random touches!! for those who want the default sensitivity, with a2sd patch, just remove 07sensy file in init.d. adb remount adb shell rm /system/etc/init.d/07sensy adb reboot[/codebox]
