Guest thepasto Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 the pasto do you now why some apps doesnt start although they worked in v,2? can you give some examples of this apps? sometimes you need to move they to phone memory, to get they work.. flashed v.0.3 + thepasto patch, after 1st boot enabled from shell a2sd check but after a reboot the phone is still at starting screen with cyanogen logo, did you have similar problem after a reboot? Just wait, maybe it's rebuilding dalvik.. It takes a lot of time, if you have many apps installed. You can see what's happening with adb logcat..

Guest simoneser Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 Is it only me or I find that this rom is not so fast? 2.2 roms are way faster, for example scrolling in the launcher (ADW Launcher EX), or apps, or also the animations when launching an app are quite slow\not smooth.. And the battery drain is very huge: this night battery went from 65% to 28% in airplane mode with no apps installed...
Guest pgr79 Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 @ thepasto : it is still booting, step 5500... more or less 100 apps installed, it seems strange to me....

Guest kenelm Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) Hi thepasto, After applying your app2sd patch, my internal memory becomes very slow.. that means when I tried to restore my sms or sync contacts from google, I need much more time. (very slow, 10 times longer) Do you think it would be caused by data moved to sd? How can I move data back to phone? Thank you! EDIT: after issuing the command "a2sd remove", the speed of accessing internal memory returned to normal speed, I don't know why. trying to figure out. Edited January 21, 2011 by kenelm

I ' ll' wait your comment in actual status while i' m in office in case of further test :) I think a dalvik wipe is enough.. Try and let me know :) I think I have to disable appdata2sd...It made my phone really slow ;) Is there any simple way to do it? I cannot find it in darktremor's thread :o It's strange.. Move data2ext should speed up access to data files... So i can repack only app2sd update.zip if you get this problem.

Guest thepasto Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 @all with app2sd patch problems, try wipe dalvik-cache in malez recovery.
Guest pgr79 Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 thepasto, unfortunately same behaviour (I always wipe cache and dalvik cache in malez before any flash)
Guest thepasto Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 thepasto, unfortunately same behaviour (I always wipe cache and dalvik cache in malez before any flash) Ah, i see.. This is the problem.. No wipe before install this patch!! Only if you have problems after install it do a wipe ONLY of dalvik. You need to reinstall roggin's package!!

So i can repack only app2sd update.zip if you get this problem. Hi thepasto & all, If you encounter the same issue as me (slow data2ext), for the time being to, you can do the followings: 1. Flash thepasto's patch 2. Enable app2sd manually: Move your apps to /sd-ext/app Move your app-private to /sd-ext/app # busybox ln -s /sd-ext/app /data # busybox ln -s /sd-ext/app-private /data disable 10apps2sd located in /system/ext/init.d/ I won't post the details command. I will leave it to thepasto for an alternate app2sd version :)

Guest gst0098 Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 Hi all, I have the airplane mode problem, after the first reboot airplane mode was switching on and off in a crazy way, not allowing me to connect to 3G network, tried without any success to wipe dalvik and to disable JIT, after restoring t&l with nandroid from a previous backup all became normal again. Is there a way to fix this ? BTW I experienced also another problem: the Sd card was not function properly as it was seen uninitialized and the system was proposing me to format it. Obviously I did not tried to do that in order to maintain the ability to restore from my nandroid backups stored inside the sdcard.
