I have compiled updated boot.img which includes lates wifi fixes from roggin, updated idle and lowmem kill from thepasto and fastdormancy from tmp_do. if someone wants to try and report on battery life it would be great! http://www.multiupload.com/U6GPD3WL0E (Do not wipe) edit: tethering works, still need to enable twice, but now only once to turn off :)

Can I just flash this in recovery?

Have been testing for several hours. Great results! For me power consumption had been ~5%/hour and after this patch became ~1%/hour. Fantastic!

But unfortunately it appears to be incompatible with thepasto's app2sd

If app2sd is flashed first, and fastdormancy patch afterwards, SD card is not detected. If flashed in reversed sequence there is no improved battery life.

Hope for combined patch including fastdormancy and app2sd.

At last we have viable and reliable ROM! Thanks a million to everybody involved!!!

I've also been using it for several hours, and the juice usage is MUCH better now. I'll report back tomorrow though, after a full day. My phone's been dieing about 7 or 8pm every day since i installed the gingerbread tests, thats to be expected though. Its an early test.

My first impressions are possitive as well. Had a 50% level batt when I flashed and have only dropped a few %'s since... Going to recharge tonight and see what tomorrow brings.

Oh please, stop this. I know that they are two different boot.img, but I was trying to check, before flashing, if some one succeded in making a2sd working. This because someone said that it's compatible, someone that is not. So, just asking, I don't think I was unpolite in just asking.

I use same ramdisk as roggin in v0.3, so if a2sd is in there, it should work in my boot.img also. (I have never used a2sd so I cant test it )

Ok, thank you, so I will try and report if succeding

Edit: yep, I had already enabled a2sd and after flashing your boot.img, it' working (as I can see apps that where on the sd card) and also a2sd check confirms.

Thank you so much, will check battery life with and without proximity sensor enabled :)

I'm also interested in app2ext , if it works correctly as with thepasto patch.

let me underline a stranges behaviour:

skype app is not workin, not connecting if on internal memory, FC if on ext partition.

something similar to V 0.1 of this Roggin's rom (solved in V 0.2).

So I've got this installed finally but I get this pop-up every 5 seconds:

The Application Dailer (process com.android.phone) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

I force close it but it keeps coming back. I also re-flashed and it still occurring the moment I turn the phone on. It registers I'm connected to rogers, but refused to sync to a mobile network, I assume its related to the above. Any suggestions?

Hello guys!!

Please stop asking to make this boot.img compatible with app2sd.. This is only for testing.. if your tests will be positive we'll release another boot.img compatible w/o app2sd.. This boot is still wip, so many other improvement could be added or removed. Is not useful, i think, add app2sd to this, if tomorrow we change it.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but now we need to know how battery and connections (wifi and data) work for you..

Thanks for all your feedbacks!!

will the boot img also work for miui?! if not is it possible to create a one which works with it?

The battery life improves A LOT after the patch applied!

It costed about 40% battery when I sleep with airplane mode turn on.

But after the patch, only cost 4%.

I sleep for ~8 hours.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with MIUI: stuck at boot splash.

Hope to have soon a version for MIUI :)

I'm trying your boot on miui 1.1.14, but it's stuck on ANDROID screen with black background (=bootsplash)...I've tried to remove battery but it's still not working..

Hello friends!

First, many thanks for this great ROM, it's getting better and way faster than I would imagine, thanks!

I have some bugs to report (hopefully it will help devs in any way

1- A-gps seems not working (can't get location based on internet connection)

2- Many games/apps that caused reboots in the 0.2 version are now fully funcional, but Hyper Jump game isn't working. It doesn't cause a reboot, but the game does not run, it returns to main screen after few seconds

3- 2G setting is not persistent after a reboot

I understand that they are more important features to work on :) This is just a simple report!
