I was getting pretty much the same tbh fantastic rom though and it's great that there's people like kalt etc that do these roms but unfortunately i've swapped to the flb r6 instead for now purely as the battery life is so much better. Over night i only lost 1% on the battery with background data and 3g still switched on whereas on the jj rom i would lose 10% or more, if it wasn't for the battery drain i'd definately still be using this rom.

That is pretty much what everyone is saying. JJ great ROm but a battery killer, Fibble's ROM great all rounder for every day use. But I'm just a sucker for the name jelly fish ;)

First of all, thanks you for you great work :-)

I just have one little issue. I can't "copy/paste" in GMail, why ?

I've heard battery issue mentioned on every release of the JJ rom but for me its never been an issue, guts of 50hrs it had been running last time before I put it on charge, still showed 20%'ish left on the batt meter.

Thats it running clocked @748, I let JuiceDefender Ultimate manage the SF power, but I dont use any taskkiller, I would say the phone gets normal use.

Opinions on whether this is better than Paul's rom please? I'm using his R3 rom currently and would like to upgrade soon. Any help would be appreciated greatly

Hmm, What settings have changed to stop pinch to zoom working in the gmail app?

My wifes SF on de-orangeated 0.8 seems to have this feature and it is greatly missed!

Is there any way to disable the sms alike notification sound on Wifi hotspot alert? Becomes really annoying to hear when you travel a lot, and think you got a sms or calendar notification, but its wifi hotspot found.. (RLS6)

If you want to change a specific sound just go to its corresponging app (messages in this case) and in the options choose another sound for the texts. Also can be done with e-mail, etc.

Not sure if this effects others but I cannot sync with AppBrain with this rom at all! Am I alone?

I realise this doesn't help you guys solve your problem but Appbrain works fine for me on rls7. There was a time period yesterday evening (UK time) where Appbrain itself appeared to be broke. Maybe you just caught it at a bad time?

great work! only some tiny issues:

1.when charging, back key led is green.

2.operator name is not local characters (chinese).

3.hw_ui not work?

Once you used TPT to install RLS7, you will have RA Recovery installed (similar to ClockWork, just better ;)). You can then use the RA Recovery to install addons or even other ROMs - as long as these fit into the 128 MB system partition.

So, no re-packing of the TPT image needed!

Forgot to say that I cant have RA working as well.

Just curious, as i haven't found any solid pros and cons, why is it better?

I have a few questions to ask:

I recently got stuck in a boot loop with this ROM.

I think it might have been Titanium Backup when it updated BusyBox (restores don't work and force quick reboots when BB isn't updated) since after reflashing the ROM w/ theme and HW_UI and without Titanium I never seem to get stuck in the loop. Either it was when I updated BB or maybe one of my restores conflicted with something at bootup.

Anyone to confirm? I've wasted enough time yesterday getting it to work and reinstalling all my apps manually :w

Also, is it normal for apps restored via TBackup to not show up on "My Apps" in the Market?

Finally, I can confirm from some previous posts that it takes exactly 180 seconds to start scanning for WiFi spots after switching WiFi on from Power Control, which is problematic for me as I tend to on/off the WiFi often. Does anyone know the scanning time on Paul's ROM (is it instant?) and a way to change this ROMs time?

Many Thanks.

Installed with wipe and cleaned everything, but I'm also having sometimes problems with sending SMS. It just stays in "sending..." state and sometimes SMS is delivered for example next day... annoing...

It gives you a couple more options in the advanced menus. I prefer clockwork as I don't think we can integrate RA with Rom Manager.

Use market doctor to restore market links if you have Titanium pro.

Change wifi.supplicant_scan_interval in build.prop

Search for a guide

edit: @MopedDriver, delete /data/data/com.android.providers/telephony/databases/mmssms.db

Have you tried refreshing your phone's SMS settings via SMS Service Update from your network?

Just change wifi.supplicant_scan_interval back to what you want.

Yeah, I did that. Still, It'd be nicer if it worked properly ;).

I had the perfect install with rls7. It was exactly how I wanted it but I couldn't help fiddling with it.

I foolishly installed the circle battery indicator addon and now my battery drains like rls6. Is there a way to revert to the default? cheers

If you flash the Rls7 again it will overwrite the framework-res.apk and sevices.jar stuff (that's were themes are). But, just in case, do a backup.
