Guest jt_mcg Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Did the first time and again, both times the benchmark are the same as before, why isn't it going faster? Or if that benchmark fake by OP. Are you comparing bechmarks of pre AHB bus overclocking and Post AHB overclocking on your phone? Unless you have the Quadrant version you pay for, you're unlikely to get the 1100ish reported because you can't run quadrant in airplane mode. I'd suggest you know possibly a little bit more about what you're doing before you question the credibility and honesty of someone who is providing you something for free!

On his benchmark its slightly behind the Droid X which isn't the case on my phone, it's exactly the same and whether he made it for free or not I don't care if he's going to make false benchmarks to get me to use his ROM, unless the AHB overclock needs turning on somehow or what.
Guest jt_mcg Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) On his benchmark its slightly behind the Droid X which isn't the case on my phone, it's exactly the same and whether he made it for free or not I don't care if he's going to make false benchmarks to get me to use his ROM, unless the AHB overclock needs turning on somehow or what. It doesn't need turning on, but pertinently each phone will have different tolerances and capabilities first, and second if you haven't paid for the quadrant that allows you to perform the test without network access (airplane mode) you won't get that result due to the overhead to have wifi, 3g, ril etc on. Whats important is to know if the AHB overclocking increased the score over the score you had before you added the overclocking. Did you test before the overclock and after?, was there an increase? edit: Also, a little more appreciation is deserved of Kallt_Kaffe, because what him and others are doing is allowing you to even compare a phone you paid 99 quid for to a phone that would set you back nearly 500 w/o contract!! Guest fluxcapacitor Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 budgieboy : grow up and wise up. learn how to install it properly before trying to slag off the OP. it works for the rest of us and if you don't like it then make your own rom. there's no logic in faking benchmarks
Guest Frankish Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Most I get is about 1070. That's pretty good.

Guest liamdunn Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 just run mine out of airplane mode and hit 1033 which is not bad. in regards to the battery drain i removed 90% of the pre installed apps and now my phone is charging beautifuly while WIFI tethering is on whereas before with the apps installed if the battery was at say 24% it would stay there and the phone would heat up to the point where it would restart
Guest Arr Too Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Or if that benchmark fake by OP. Stupid comment, and completely unnecessary. An apology is due to kallt_kaffe, but I doubt there'll be one. I hope kallt_kaffe realises that everyone else really appreciates his hard work, making our Blades do things not even the manufacturer expected! (Roll on the 2.2 kernel sources!!)
Guest cobhc Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Not tried RLS2/3, but RLS one with some apps removed and the AHB overclock netted me 1125 in Quadrant, so the benchmark is NOT a fake.
Guest _mika Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 5.0MP/TFT Saunalahti Blade and still after few sleeps the touchscreen functionality freezes.. So despite the fact that it's very much faster than 2.1 it still cannot be used... Any ideas why this screen freezing is happening?
Guest dmxpowa Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 after 3-4 Quadrant re-run in airplane mode i achieved 1091, so its not fake actually.
Guest jaw838 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Using 3b overclocked and GB theme just gave scoring 1001 on Quadrant with ~14 tasks running and 302M available memory; no apps removed from ROM. I have seen it slightly highly scoring before applying theme iirc. Battery live seems ok in fairness - used 25% in about 18hrs - mostly dormant but a few odd sessions of playing with settings and some web stuff/texts. Looks good - many thanks to Kallt and others for support and information - Happy New Year to all on Modaco too.
Guest frequence Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Installed RLS3b yesterday on my OSF(TFT/Swiss OK Version) and have found no Problem yet. Works like a charm.
Guest rwalton159 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) Is there any youtube video or images of this rom please? Edited January 2, 2011 by rwalton159
Guest taine0 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Can't seem to get the screen to time out ( the screen dims but never switches off, have to press power button to go into standby. Also tried widget lockers override and that doesn't work. Anyone else having this problem?
Guest Budgieboy Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Ran benchmark with airplane mode, result: 976 This roms a joke, it's not even worth it especially the change from Pauls rom which runs just as fast.
Guest Frankish Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Ran benchmark with airplane mode, result: 976 This roms a joke, it's not even worth it especially the change from Pauls rom which runs just as fast. Benchmarks mean nothing to real world usage. Do us all a favour. Go back to Pauls rom and enjoy it, leave this thread alone. I don't even want to start on the benefits of this rom especially to us free non paying users! Stock lockscreen by default is the MAJOR plus for me.
Guest dneill2006 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) I'm a paying member, just came from Paul's MoDaCo Custom Froyo ROM Alpha4 which was good. But for some reason I prefer this Rom  I've just flashed Japanese Jellyfish RLS3b tonight and already find it very good B) Also using Frankish's Gingerbread Theme for JJRLS3B without Battery Percentage which makes it look amazing! So thanks kallt_kaffe & Frankish for such awesome work! Edited January 2, 2011 by dneill2006
Guest GoNz0 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 how about putting benchmarks in a benchmark thread as its got bugger all to do with the problems at hand apart from making huge threads in this topic.

Listen to him! This rom just feels better to me too.

Feels better to me too, also much better battery life 47 hours since last charge and still 65% battery left and the highest Quadrant scores  Edited January 2, 2011 by NightSt@lk3r
Guest dneill2006 Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 One thing though, every time I put the phone to sleep wifi seems to sleep also even though wifi policy is set to "never"?
Guest Frankish Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 One thing though, every time I put the phone to sleep wifi seems to sleep also even though wifi policy is set to "never"? Was it already set as never? Try changing it then set it back to never. Report back.
