The kernel has overclocking enabled. You need to use an app such as setCPU or similar. Unless I misunderstood the question

Oops of course... I was previously using one in a different thread when kernel source first come out.

How much of a difference does Hardware accleerated UI make to the speed of the device, as I'm planning to overclock the device as well?

For general used there is nothing noticeable, but for some games its makes a world of difference. Like the game super tumble, it lags like hell when hw accel is disabled but when its enabled its butter smooth.

I'll ask again incase you missed my request before.

When releasing a ROM update (RLS5-RLS6 for instance), could you release an update.zip along with the complete zip file, to save on time, bandwidth and flash writes?

Thanks!

Feature request: Settings widget as in CM. With CM6 (I used in on my HTC Magic) it was possible to switch 2G7/3G and some other features directly from the widget.

Your ROM rockz.

Recovery, just like a ROM.

A vpn fix in RLS7 would be very welcome. Otherwise it is a fantastic ROM. Thank you.

Thanks for all the hard work with this rom. :D:)

I have been getting dire battery life with this when using apps / web browsing though.

According to spare parts, Dialer is the culprit with partial wake usage. In terms of network usage I get Dialer (top), Android System (2nd) and something called "0" (third) - Anyone know what this 0 is?

I did find sim toolkit featuring quite highly in the list yesterday so deleted it.

This is a completely clean install of RLS5 with only baisc apps. I have tried with HW enabled and disabled. Makes little difference. I will try r6 later but need convincing battery life issues are resolved?

However,

If I turn data connection off, battery life is fine and hardly decreases and can go for hours without change.

With 3G data connection in use or at minimum switched on it can go flat in about 3 hours of web browsing and battery goes down quickly when idle.

Is it possible froyo is continually seraching for the 3G network and draining the battery / not letting sleep. I am on Vodafone incase this could be an operator specific issue?

Remember to Wipe data/cache when installing the ROM. No wipe, no whine...

Those two sentences sound a little contrary. Should I wipe and whine?

I have installed Japanese Jellyfish RLS5, installed some applications etc, now this RLS6 came.

Do i need to wipe everything and start over? Or is there some backup methods or something?

if you dont wipe means you lose your right to whine/cry for help. so no wipe,no whine isnt contradictory at all :D.

No, just install rls6 on top.

on a different note, KK, would it be possible to fix the facebook sync? i see that fbl has done it in his rom. thanks.

On RLS6, I can repeatedly and consistently reproduce the "WiFi sleeping" issue (despite setting "Never" in the WiFi Sleep policy). Maybe this problem existed on RLS5 too, I didn't use it long enough to notice it. I definitely did not have the problem on Paul's MCR alpha 3.

I read somewhere on this thread that the WiFi sleep issue has been fixed.

I have set a static IP. While the phone's display is still on, if I start pinging the IP, I get responses, but the responses stop as soon as the display switches off.

I have changed the WiFi Sleep Policy to something other than "Never" and then set it back to "Never". Still have the same problem.

Can anybody else confirm that the problem still exists?
