Guest Skillganon Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Just install RLS6 without wiping, and all your installed wipe should be there, even the setup widget and wallpaper, contacts everything. Thats what I do.
Guest Skillganon Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Yep that's what i did with it. :D Can you Please tell me how? Thank's in advance.
Guest IronDoc Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 That wasn't meant as a rant haha sorry. Was meant more as a poke towards Kallt to have a look into this, as this IMO is the only thing I'm missing from his rom that exists in other roms. Could we just replace the dialer in Kallt's with the one in Flib's? The dialer is also keeping the phone in partial wake for me as per: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...ion-and-dialer/
Guest Frankish Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Just downloaded all the parts i needed. Then copied all the add on over into the main zip replacing the old files. Works a treat and means 1 flash only.

I don't have the issue and like smart dialling. But stock is always good.
Guest Skillganon Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) lol. Thanks again. Edited January 9, 2011 by Skillganon
Guest Frankish Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Confirmed. Nandroid restore working with themes applied now. Only with a fully test signed RLS6. Kallte please be kind to us themers and test sign form now on future releases :P I have uploaded RLS6 fully test signed. :D
Guest Boozebeard Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 As has been said by others, It does seem to be the dialers network usage that is causing the battery problem. If I turn my wifi and 3g off my battery lasts for ever!
Guest c-m Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 I currently have RL5 installed. Is there a way to simply update my phone with RL6 or do i have to install as normal, and wipe the partition and cache data?
Guest Frankish Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 I currently have RL5 installed. Is there a way to simply update my phone with RL6 or do i have to install as normal, and wipe the partition and cache data? You will be fine without a wipe. Just flash it.
Guest ropin Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 You will be fine without a wipe. Just flash it. i installed rls5 using the "image" method to get the extra space, if i install rls6 using the normal clockwork method will i still retain the partion space etc? ps. wud i need to wipe cuz i had the partition?

Yeah that would be why. The only way to restore using current rom is Nandroid restore, flash stock theme, boot, then reapply theme file. This is why i urge kallte to test sign framework-res.apk and system apps. I have already updated my themes but he needs to use the files from the RLS6 test signed rom i uploaded a few pages back for it to all work.

Sure, I can do that.
Guest punkmilitia Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 As in everthing in /system/framework and /system/app resigned with testkeys? Sure, I can do that. Would you also mind fixing the widget problem I seem to have? Basicly I have the SMS & GMAIL notification widget which puts how many unread messages you have on the homescreen to replace old SMS and GMAIL apps, however, these widgets are lower than all the other apps, anyone else have this problem?
Guest zapher Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Facebook sync is not mentioned under known issues. Does this mean it now works?
Guest slipperz69 Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 This is excellent work guys :D keep it up I had a go on a Nexus S today in carphone warehouse I put my screen next to it and I reckon the blade looks visually better and just as fast opening menus etc. Nice!! Slipperz :P
Guest rxexdxbxaxnxd Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 have you resolved the text message problem? No, tried reflashing but everytime I restored the texts from backup messaging would no longer worked. I needed a working phone with battery that would last today so quickly went back to RLS3b. Restorin texts on that works fine. I might look at some other way to back up texts so that I can restore them later on a newer release...
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Right, I've tried using the APks for Flibblesans r6 in relation to dialer, contacts, accounts and sync and the other contact based services. However, every now and then I have issues with proccess.android.acore force closing. Does anybody know what it does, and if Flib's had a version of this that worked but that I haven't installed?

The is the main android system process. You should try a wipe and see if the issues persist.
Guest NightSt@lk3r Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Battery usage is still a bit meh on RLS6, 4 and a half hours after charging it its down to 59% already
Guest Anjan Tek Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) Please! This is not news and not related AT ALL to this rom. Well, I thought that the WiFi sleep problem was only with the Chinese leak based ROMs. Moreover, RLS5 onwards, Jellyfish has the source kernel which I thought fixed the problem. The problem is not mentioned under the known issues for this ROM, is it? Don't blame me for thinking that it has been fixed. And, as I said before, I did NOT have the problem on Paul's MCR alpha 3. Just to confirm, I may try going back to that ROM. So, oh!dougal, if I understand you right, does EVERY SINGLE PERSON have the WiFi Sleep problem, regardless of which Froyo ROM they are using? Edited January 9, 2011 by Anjan Tek
Guest Jekle Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Where is the default wallpaper in this ROM? I deleted it in Laucher2.apk the (Jellyfish background) called wallpaper1.jpg and wallaper1_small.jpg and I replaced it but still comes up after rom install?
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 The is the main android system process. You should try a wipe and see if the issues persist. Buggery, really? It's not something i particularly wanted to do. And anyway... the battery drain issue is still there, so it was so no use changing to a different dialer. Can I therefore make the claim that the dialer is not the problem?
Guest The Overmind Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Is a wipe needed to go from RLS4 to RLS6? It has new kernel from what I understand, so that probably means a wipe. Lazy me doesn't want to go through the work of setting everything up again :D
