Guest Matty-p Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Can't we just omit the theme engine? not really
Guest paino12 Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Why don't you ask the MIUI guys for help?
Guest Waadulf Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 [bumpidibump] Standing still or what?
Guest JimJam707 Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Well I tweeted the MIUI guys, @MIUIDev on twitter, asking if they were going to release the sources, sadly they said that they're not sure.
Guest brookergray Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Anyone here from china? Or speaks chinese? How popular is blade there? I'm asking because i think the miui guys decided to support the phones that they support now because many they had many chinese guys asking them to do so. The point is that if we could get many guys from china who have blades to ask them to support us, than we would have a shot. It's better than just wait for them to release the source.
Guest fonix232 Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Well I tweeted the MIUI guys, @MIUIDev on twitter, asking if they were going to release the sources, sadly they said that they're not sure. Then please ask them to release a Blade-build, I would be able to test it for them, and I guess, many of us too!
Guest JimJam707 Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Then please ask them to release a Blade-build, I would be able to test it for them, and I guess, many of us too! I'll ask them on their IRC #MIUI

Guest JimJam707 Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Ah man these MIUI guys are helpful. nawt.
Guest JimJam707 Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 so they will help or not? Nope, they don't have the sources.
Guest Blues003 Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Nope, they don't have the sources. What was the conclusion of the chat?
Guest brookergray Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 give up? I see that you are from china, so it would be great if you could go to miui.cn and request a version for the blade. Ask everyone you know to do that too. Oh and please post a link to that thread here. That's the only thing that can be done for now.

Guest Azurren Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) Imo after Cyanogen Mod 7 is fully ported and supported by the Cyanogen team then.. Maybe, if we ask the devs that ported cyanogen over to our beloved blade reeeeeeealy nicely they could try their hand at MIUI (It is based on Cyanogen afterall, I'm sure they could port it far easier than any other starting dev) :) But until then, best let it rest quietly Edited April 10, 2011 by Azurren
Guest x.balli.x Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 miui is closed source, so porting is hard
Guest ZTE_Blade Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Is someone still working on the froyo version then? cos it's not using arm7 based instructions?
Guest fonix232 Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Is someone still working on the froyo version then? cos it's not using arm7 based instructions? It DOES use ARMv7. All MIUI ROMs use ARMv7, as ALL MIUI ROMs are built for ARMv7 phones.
