How clsoe are we to a stable and full 2.2? not beta or alpha

MoDaCo is an international forum, that's why we like to keep it in English. There are special subforums were members are able to communicate in their native language. If they post in their native language though, they should at least add the english translation, even if they only used google translator to translate it. And now back to topic please :unsure:

Edit: oops., I only read the first page when I made this post, but what I don't get is why this is so complicated and confusing, its as bad as having linux lol.(no offence to Linux users) I just have no idea what I'm talking about in all this kernel (the inside of popcorn?) and base layer mumbo jumbo. So please excuse me if I start asking extremely stupid questions. Its my first experience of android

Is it not possible to use the 2.6.29 Kernel from the 2.1 release with the 2.2 system?

I believe the Xdandroid devs do this with their 2.2 and 2.6.29

What just doesn't make sense to me is:

my Blade + 2.1 = working like a charm

my Blade + 2.2 = freezing like a shaved sheep

That's all the evidence I need.

Of course I can't prove anything for anyone else, neither do I have to.

It's just my assumption made from the behaviour of my phone and from reading this forum quite thoroughly.

I assume that's what your opinion is based on too, so I guess we'll have to wait for another 2.2 kernel to see who got it right :unsure:

I'm running Flb's Froyo 2.2 G2 on my SF at the moment, I have only had it installed for 2 days, but so far I have only experienced one problem which was the alarm, because it wouldnt turn off (and I had it set as the chicken, nearly messed my pants) but otherwsie, it seems to be just as stable as the stock ZTE ROM.
