Guest stylezuk Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 LP Plus If it wasn't that i used the widgets to which look sweet i'd use ADW but can't get the same aesthetics with seperate program widgets.
Guest mickey megabyte Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 well i actually 'went out' and bought launcher pro plus last week. i like the dock and the 'buttery smoothness' :) oh, and resizable widgets
Guest domenico lamberti Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 HeLauncher and keep switching btween sense, sense slate and ninjablur
Guest Decadence Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 (edited) I've been using Launcherpro plus for a while and it been great, but for a few days now on bootup all my widgets disappear and instead I get the message "Problem loading widget". I'm on CM7 Nightly 41 using dartremor's apps2sd. Anyone know of a solution? Thanks EDIT: It seems that this happens when I unlock the phone straight after the lokckscreen appears on boot up but if I wait like 5 minutes after the lockscreen has appeared and then unlock it the widgets load fine. Guest Casterina Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Have used ADW myself for years now - more than happy with it. +1

Guest k0zmic Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Everyone likes ADW and Launcher Pro - Fancy transitions and fancy widgets I use the stock gingerbread launcher. This is because although the home screen transitions are nice on those apps, the app drawers are not. Nothing can compete with the stock 2.3 app drawer (or even stock 2.2 one) - ITS SO SMOOOOOTH. And because I only use one home screen, I barely flick through screens, so the somewhat jumpy home screen transition in the stock launchers doesn't bother me. I just love the app drawer smoothness :) Tell me about it, it's just so quick. I wish there was a way to have the uninstall method like LauncherPro does i.e. drag app and hold near the bin to uninstall.
Guest Zalforto Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Not a lot of support for GO Launcher? Tried most of the others mentioned and IMO GO is by far the best - its fast, free and gets updated all the time with new features and themes.

I like go launcher although my favourite launcher is between go and a 3d one, but i forget the 3d ones name
Guest Michealtbh Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 LauncherPro Plus now has themed widget support, quite a few themes on the market for it already :)
Guest SantiagoChow Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 I have been happy with launcher pro since i got my zte v880 but today the launcher crashed and disappeared. there's no response no matter the HOME key or the return key was pressed so i have to restart the phone. does anyone have other recommendation to replace launcher pro? Earlier today, I came across the same problem as you, are you running the latest swedish spring? I don't think that would be the apk's problem. I'm switching to SonyEricsson Arc Launcher though.
Guest dibbles Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 For me the "best" launcher, regardless of the ROM, is Launcher Plus. I find it the most responsive of them all, and I have tried a lot of them. As LP does work so well for me I'm now reluctant to try any of the ones I haven't used as it does everything that I could want it to do.
Guest costan1986 Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 After using stock Launcher for a long time, I moved to Go Launcher EX. I believe it's a great app with a lot of customizations: folders, hide apps, nice looking and a useful task manager with app-killer. Just a really frustrating bug I noticed: I often have to press more than one time on apps in the drawer to open them...sometimes up to 5-6 times! Did anyone also noticed this?

For launcher crashing and disappearing you can install a very useful app : home switcher free in market :)
Guest i am not a hacker Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Spb shell 3d. Its amazing and everything its animated and 3d. Look at some videos of it.
Guest Laccnow Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 LauncherPro (free). I tried Go Launcher and ADW too, but they never seemd as fast&smooth for me. The only thing I miss in LP is the ability to scroll through my apps horizontally.
Guest ididmytime Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Launcher Pro, hands down. It's very easy on the resources (which our blade needs) and is extremely smooth.
Guest FrankieADZ Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 LaucherProPlus for me. hyst always preferred it. :)
Guest maniac_mouse Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Zeem for me, its fast, lightweight and never crashes. Always had problems with launcher pro, its was a tempermental beast when i had it installed, what with its crashing and general slowness.
