Guest mELIANTE
it appears to be the japanese 003Z kernel. Also, new 2.1 kernel apparently released in V9 tablet.
Guest Elky69
I can see the forum, lighting up tonight, I can smell the frenzy now Going by the ZTE site, we wouldn't have been able to download the sources by tonight. I'm going to leave it for a few days for the more capable to get playing before I have a go.

Yes... ^^^ this.... thp since we have the 003Z firmware and builds based off it, its better news for us... specially if we can workout what's stopping it working. I'm sure the *PERFECT* Chinese ROM will be along on Wednesday for everyone else
Guest Frankish
It says it is the source for the Blade SERIES. Is it specifically only for the Japanese one?!
Guest goatee
@Devs, Does this kernel mean we can get a gingerbread rom? Now, that would be sweet!! I'm not a dev, but I doubt it, as gingerbread is based on the 2.6.35 kernel, whereas Froyo is based on 2.6.32. I'm just hoping that we won't get the same issues we had with the Eclair kernel, that it will compile, and allow stable Froyo ROMs. Edited January 6, 2011 by goatee
Guest dadashi
it appears to be the japanese 003Z kernel.... That's what it says 003Z..... we've already got that? Edited January 6, 2011 by dadashi

Guest Simon O
That's what it says 003Z..... B) we've already got that? No. No we don't Also since the server is slow could I kindly ask that people only download this if you know how to build a kernel and will be building a kernel. If everyone downloads it for the hell of it then it'll be slower for everyone else. 7.9KB/s isn't funny  also cue all the posts in ROM threads asking when a new kernel will be made and will it fix x,y,z bugs  Edited January 6, 2011 by flibblesan
Guest Frankish
Too many people downloading what they don't understand. Don't know the difference between the actual rom and kernel source
Guest Sebastian404
7.9KB/s isn't funny  I downloaded the (larger) V9 kernel source in about 10 minutes this morning..... I'm expecting the 'how do I install the kernel source using fastboot/clockwork' posts in the next 30 minutes.

Guest Krinyo
Froyo runs lovely on 2.6.29 kernel, so why not we run Ginger on 2.6.32. It's possible. I have Froyo on my Pulse with 2.6.29, so it means NOTHING. This is great news! All I need is a CyanogenMod port on my Blade.
