Guest agpoli Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Using Japanese Jellyfish RLS6 + AHB OC, CPU@729 MHz: 3rd run:
Guest Oyorf Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 I use now 710MHz, and would like to test higher MHz. But what happens if it freezes or something? Do Setcpu automatically lower the Mhz if it freezes? I have the "remember" option checked so everytime I boot up the phone it's automatically at 710MHz, so do i need to turn this off when testing so it will be 600MHz at every start? But still I need to know what happens if phone freezes and this option is checked? I mean that if i set cpu to 729MHz and phone freezes, then I take battey out and boot the phone and it's again 729MHz and freezes instantly I can not boot it anymore.
Guest agpoli Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 - If your phone freeze, just pull out the battery. - Yes, untick "Set on boot" if you are trying to get higher frequency. I forgot to do this once, but I got lucky. The CPU was stable enough to boot the phone, and I could lower the freq to a stable value.

A bit slow on standby with 122mhz but doesn't bother me that much 39fps neocore ~570 quadrant
Guest Oyorf Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) I can run 122-806 MHz HW acc, but still get only 600 quandrant points. I'm runnin JJ RLS6. Edited January 11, 2011 by Oyorf
Guest john.smith Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 I find the recent JapJelly are scoring low in Quadrant, but the actual performance is OK. Any ideas? I can run 122-806 MHz HW acc, but still get only 600 quandrant points. I'm runnin JJ RLS6.
Guest Oyorf Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I find the recent JapJelly are scoring low in Quadrant, but the actual performance is OK. Any ideas? Everything runs really smooth with 806 MHz. Now I think that 600MHz is almost useless, 710 is ok, but if I put 806 it's like perfect.
Guest Rotmann Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I find the recent JapJelly are scoring low in Quadrant, but the actual performance is OK. Any ideas? The low scores are normal, the high ones were fake because stagerfright was enabled and it is broken in 2.2, causing quadrant to skip some tests.

Normally I run 768 MHz, because with 806 setcpu widget shows that temperature is more than 60 celsius, I don't know where this measurement is coming, but I can not really feel it with my hands. Phone feels like same temperature than normally, but just for safe I run only 768. Edited January 12, 2011 by Oyorf
Guest .:Blaze:. Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 From 2 days i run it 712 Mhz... No problem...
Guest Shug_06 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Mines crashes as soon as it hits 768, runs solid at 710. Experimenting with 748 just now. :D
Guest rascas Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Hello, i just installed SET CPU, and to be frank i am very conservative - Speed max 652 What are your experiences? Which speed are you at and is it stable?
Guest leetron1 Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) When first flashed used 729 until I got my first lock-up...710 v stable for me though I reckon it eats the battery.. Now, use 672 down to 245 when screen is ON Use 320 down to 122 for screen OFF... Hope this helps...really enjoy being able to OC..thanks once more to kk>> Edited January 20, 2011 by leetron1
