Your recovery kernel doesn't have ext4 compiled into it. So "ext3 to ext4" is pretty useless I'd guess.

Hmm, I wonder what it does :D

good point tho,

Could you add the symlinks for busybox tools as well? like /sbin/cat -> /sbin/busybox

The idea of RA-recovery is that you dont need to use ADB... but yeah, the problem with partioning I've found is that those symlinks dont exist....

but I've looked at versions of RA-recovery build for other devices and they dont have them either.... so all I can assume is there something missing from the soruce code he's put out...

the only source he has published is 2.0.0 but I've seen 2.2.1 for the passion.... I might bug him about it and see

Ok, symlinks for busybox added, and SD Partioning now works.....

Anyone got any more problems?

Unless there are any major show stoppers, I'm going to contact Amon_RA and see if he will share the source for the latest before I make another build.

2 issues for me:

1. ADB doesn't detect the device

2. If I try to nand backup i get

Error : Run 'nandroid-mobile.sh' via adb!

Your using the version thats currently posted on the first page?

Oh great, this version of busybox upsets nandroid-mobile script......

nothings ever simple...

Oh I'm using the 2nd one. I'll flash the 3rd and try it.

Edit: Still no ADB; it said the backup worked but it only lasted about 5 seconds.

Log attached.

In what functions does this differ / offer more (or less) than the already widely used ClockWorkMod ?

Are ClockWorkMod update.zip files compatible with this RA_Recovery ?

bump - is this instead of clockwork or as well as?

2 things, In the past when i have had the run nandroid.sh thing it's because your device is not charged enough. Not sure if that is the case here.

Also i really really like Amon Ra's recovery with Cyanogenmod colours. I'm sure you have seen it...could we have the choice if it's not too much work? Maybe once it's stable enough? :D

Sigh... I love how I'm paying 'world class business' internet that just turns itself off for hours at a go.....

Uploading a (hopefully) final build right now...

Here Sebastian, I've compiled a 2.6.32.9 kernel with EXT4 support. Perhaps you can use it?

Thanks KK,

however with the Kernel its too big to fit into the recovery partion.. is there anyway you can rebuild and set the Kernel compression mode to LZMA ?

Do you have a screen shot of that? I'll take a look at it

Ok... B4 on the first post...

if your using the VOLDOWN method to boot into recovery... be aware it takes it a few seconds first time around the bootloop.... give it a moment!

sorry, i'd like to annoy no one, but can someone at least address me to a resource describing the differences between CWM ena RA (if any?)?
