Guest stoney1973 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 lol, not heckling... wanting the push option thats all - thus the questioning... which it doesn't have, only increments based on those settings listed above. except it does say Automatic(push) under email check frequency. where it gives the options of every 5/10/15/30/60/never/automatic(push). Phew, am back at the desktop. much better.

I believe I have the beta2 installed? it has refresh buttons. it shows for both gmail and hotmail(set up as exchange). Lmao, we were arguing/discussing two different versions? rofl. Edit: what do you use for screenshots? Edited January 11, 2011 by stoney1973

Only diff between our versions i can tell.

Last refresh shows 7:46, its 8:02 now and i have it set on 10 min updates... damn, really thought i could eliminate sync for gmail.

Guest keeper22 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Do you have to do something to you gmail account to enable exchange? I tried the settings above in the Galaxy Tab email app but had no luck, it just says: "Setup could not finish. Cannot connect to server."

Guest synaptic.flaws Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 yahoo working here did you use a manual setup? or automagic? I can't recall if I tried it on the stock email app.
Guest synaptic.flaws Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 I am still getting force closes after reboot. I have verified permissions not sure what is wrong
Guest stoney1973 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 I am still getting force closes after reboot. I have verified permissions not sure what is wrong have you cleared data of email in settings/applications/mahage applications? then reboot.
Guest synaptic.flaws Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 have you cleared data of email in settings/applications/mahage applications? then reboot. surely that can't be required after each and every reboot I had it working stable, rebooted and back to force closes. i am reading through the logs now to see what is causing it W/ActivityManager( 146): Force finishing activity com.android.email/.activity.AccountFolderList i can see it die, just not sure what is killing it yet

Guest popetodd Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Thanks for this! Very nicely done, I particularly like how I can now download the attachments instead of being forced to just view them.
