Guest TheKidd24 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I had it working for 24 hours then connection error. Anyone have this problem.
Guest niallmoran Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 i've got the same problem with my hotmail exchange account....was working fine now connection error. My imap account is still working perfectly. It's a cool client though - well done Steve :D
Guest jadeboy Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I had it working for 24 hours then connection error. Anyone have this problem. +1

Guest fards Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 wow having both gmail accounts on push via exchange is battery thirsty! losing 10% per hour, deleted them (back to the gmail app) and battery stopped dropping I presumed it would drain, but didn't think it would go by that much
Guest mancterrier Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 How do you display images in an email?(hotmail) Nowt loading here and cant see a setting to automatically display them?
Guest ClippinWings Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) Add me to the 24 hours then connection error club.... cleared data re-setup my gmail account as exchange(like i had it before) and I'm still getting the "connection error" message. any ideas? my Gmail app works fine... I'm going to try going back to IMAP... I don't NEED push... it's just nice to have. Edited January 14, 2011 by ClippinWings
Guest Johnston411 Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 mine did the connection error for a day but its fine now. only did it on one account. both are hotmail but the one that stopped working was .com and the one that was fine was .co.uk it sometimes shows the wrong refresh time but put seems to be working regardless
Guest extrememonkey Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Anyone know how to add attachments to emails without force closing??? When I press attach, and my files, i just get fc's..... Is there anyway to change settings to get this working???
Guest leinert1 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) Just installed on a stock 2.2 318 build. I followed the directions about deleting the stock email files from system/apps before the install and it works fine. I did get a crash on the initial attempt to send email, but trying the clear data trick cleared it up. I am using the push function via an exchange account and I get appointments, email, and contacts with this Ver2 file. EDIT: The connectivity to my exchange server only worked for about 30 minutes. After a NANDROID restore and a factory rest that cleared all of the email program data the application is working properly once reinstalled. Thanks! Edited January 15, 2011 by leinert1
Guest mancterrier Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 How do you display images in an email?(hotmail) Nowt loading here and cant see a setting to automatically display them? Anyone figured this out yet? All images are just showing as links...
Guest niallmoran Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 Anyone figured this out yet? All images are just showing as links... Think this is a general problem with hotmail using exchange (ie the m.hotmail.com server) not just a tab mail problem
Guest mancterrier Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Think this is a general problem with hotmail using exchange (ie the m.hotmail.com server) not just a tab mail problem Cheers niall
Guest The Fixer Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 I upgraded from 1.5.1 to 1.6 with the tabmail option and it installed fine, seemed to connect to my exchange server fine (Exch2010) but it said "No Messages Selected" and it wouldn't display any of my mail. Not sure why, and the mail client makes the stock email client look like trash. I hope it works soon.
Guest fisha21 Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 try setting up your hotmail as exchange using m.hotmail.com and then just use your full email address and password. you should be able to do this for hotmail.com and .co.uk accounts just make sure m.hotmail.com is your server setting. i use it with the default mail account. just doing a backup then i'll try this one. cheers steve ;) Thanks for these files Steve, actually got this running on an Archos 101IT! Am also having problems with Hotmail messages not showing up. Have tried setting up as Exchange, using: Domain\username: \********@hotmail.co.uk Exchange server: m.hotmail.com Use secure connection and Accept all SSL certificates ticked. But I get an error message saying Unable to connect to server. Am I missing something. Also tried setting it up as IMAP, but Hotmail doesn't support IMAP protocol, as far as I am aware (sadly).

Hey, I had the same problem. Remove the "\" before your email address in the Domain\username field. Mine worked after I did that.
Guest PipoXtreme Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 I`v found a failure in the client.. I just changed my signature in the client - but when I wanna send a email from an other app. There comes the build signature ( gesendet von Samsung ..) and my own signature - and I have to delete everytime the build-in one.. Can somebody maybe tell me how this can be solved ? For sending direct from the client there isn`t a problem with this ?
