OK, guys, I did not go through the whole thread, apologies in advance if this has been asked before.......

I live in the Emerald Isle...Ireland. We are geographically and in every other way close to our nearest neighbours in the UK, we luv you guys, honest!!!

However, we cannot view content from BBC on the web, due to Geographic IP restrictions, which can be by-passed by the use of Proxies, with Firefox, Chrome, etc.

There is no provision for Proxy settings on Android, at least 2.2.....

However, I have downed Autoproxy, from XDA, which may just do the job.

I also got my grubby liddle hands on Myplayer, which does not require Flash, from a another well-known source :D .

Question is, how to marry these two apps, to allow me look at Eastenders on my OSF/Blade :D

It creates a transparent/intercepting proxy running on your phone, and redirects web traffic through it, so other apps don't have to be aware there is a proxy. All outgoing traffic is captured, formatted and transmitted through your network's proxy. That means it works with other browsers, gmail and maps. The core of this app is the redsocks proxy redirector, and cntlm.

Probably very silly, but can you back up bookmarks, history and preferably passwords from stock internet browser in cm7?

My cm7 98 won't update to 110 (or seemingly anything else) without wiping everything and installing clean, got most things on the new one ok now but not this. :)

Sure I must be missing something obvious, either a very easy way to do it, or a very obvious reason it won't work. Hmm

You can back up bookmarks with MyBackupPro. Not sure about passwords and history though.

just use an app called backup everything

Couldn't find backup everything.

Had tried in Titanium backup but nothing seemed to happen.

Tried MyBackUp with just the bookmarks and it did just those after a reboot which it suggested. Then went optimistic and let it try the settings too and that was a mistake lol boot loop.

Restored and tried Titanium with a MyBackUp inspired reboot after and that worked for bookmarks, history and passwords. Titanium Backup is even better than I thought.
