Guest auswims Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Have you loaded any of the status zip files, like gingerbread or black status bar files from xda? Also which launcher are you using? I've been running all versions and only had the black text using one of zips above. (Factory reset and sorted it) Ta. No zips yet, just the rom. Using ADWex.
Guest stalkachu Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 It was Steve's idea to save my Streak few days ago  so not my credit! Installed fine after a restart after an initial process crash, then running perfect. Only thing is seems to have installed ADW even though it shouldn't have. Running bios/nobaseband only, but still got ADW. Not a big deal, just thought I should mention. Otherwise, thanks a lot as always, keep up the great work!
Guest rockymtnbri Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 What happened to the Fastboot instructions that were on the first page?

I'm using adw ex also and don't have the problem. What's been your update path? i.e. 1.5.1 to 1.6.0 to 1.6.1

Guest rockymtnbri Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 I continue to get Google Services Framework errors, along with JuicePlotter, e-mail, and other failures. What do I need to do to get this working again? I has to flash the amss file just to get it to boot, but this is not working right, Some of my apps that are stored on my SD card seemed to have disappeared, and their icons are gone from my ADW Launcher screens.

That is strange, i've done many different iterations from 318, 151, 319, etc etc ..... and that's never happened. (only had when trying to use other theme zips) Sorry going to have to pass to someone with a bit more grey matter than  Good luck.
Guest Seacare Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Very good build, Like the streakdroid intro the best so far. Really cool. Jack Landers
Guest krrrk Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 since upgrading from 1.6 to 1.6.1 im getting fc's with market, even after clearing data. anyone else getting this issue?

I'm getting a lot of FCs. I think something is unmounting my SD card when Android is running, so I went in and remounted it, then re-flashed 1.6.1 and now I'm getting ready to reboot. If this doesn't work I hope I can go back to 1.6.
Guest MrPokeylope Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Hrm. I seem to be having trouble with my GPS for a bit. I have googled this, and I've tried replacing my baseband a good few times. It just constantly sits on waiting for location in navigator. Thing is... maps sees me fine. thats been a few streakdroid updates I've done now, and this hasn't changed :) I keep having to use a clunky old tomtom :) Not moaning though. Just wondering if anyone could shed some light for me as to what I'd need to investigate?
Guest pjg_pigeon Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 I am also unable to upgrade from 1.6.0 without a factory reset, not seen this since 3 or 4 upgrades ago. I am using the default install I.e. no .cfg file. Without the factory reset gets stuck at boot animation. Have gone back to 1.6.0 via a full nandroid restore after re flashing 1.6.0, to maintain my apps and widgeoids screens etc etc I have titanium backups also, think I will wait and watch to see if any fixes are found for a smoother upgrade to 1.6.1
Guest cowballz Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 i put the .txt in sdcard root , flashed the new rom and it just gets stuck at the streakdroid screen, now what?? has anyone been able to fix this??

Guest Dogmann55 Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) Hi all Upgraded straight from 1.60 no resets or clears just moved the install.cfg file from the Android folder to the root of my SD card and renamed it install.txt as instructed and flashed the new zip, Maps, Rock Player and everything else seems to be working well with the exception of screenshot and other screen capture apps I've tried all throw up an error. Running Quadrant is now super fast and is giving me a score of 2418. So once again many thanks to Steve and all involved in this great Rom who needs a 2.3 Rom anyway.
