Thanks Steve for another nice update.

And I'm unable to install some application from the Market such as Angry birds, photowonder etc., And i had this problem in the last version too.

Is this Market issue is only for me??? Is there any solution?

rename your old one, it is probably called " Android" with a capital A.

I renamed mine to Androiddata

just remember to change back after install.

As soon as I changed the name to Androiddata it immediately created a new folder called Android.

+1 to reboots-to-black-screen-with-no-boot-animation.

Flash to 1.6, I get dell logo, then it stalls before the boot animation fires off.

Going to re-flash without the bios keyword in the install.cfg and see if that helps.

Edit: still no joy, boots to black screen regardless. Sad. oh well - back to 1.5.3 for me. Thanks for your continued efforts Steve & Beta crew!

I am also can't download or update anything from the Market. I can see all my apps on the Market and can uninstall them but I just can't reinstall them. I have cleared market data and force stopped the app through manage applications and have also cleared davlik-cache and rebooted.

my 1st install.cfg was

adwlauncher

us160

bios

I then reinstalled using install.cfg

adwlauncher

bios

and clearing davlik-cache

and still having download unsuccessful

they are in the kernel.. in this rom, just not in the volboost kernel.

just select smartass. if you're using the volboost you wont get the option.

Thanks for the response fards! I guess I am alright then, not using the volboost kernel.

Anyone have any idea what the density was for the 1.5.3 build? Im rocking a us streak, and I was about to put the us120 on my zip. I want to be sure before I go messing with it first though. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have not been on here in quite some time, as I am using a RebelSim.

I am currently running Steves 1.1.1, with baseband GAUSB1A120321-US.

Can I update to this ROM, or do I need to fastboot flash to 2.1 8105 baseband?

Or am I already running the 2.1?

So, I did the update, and now my radio (phone/text/data) does not work.

Could somebody please tell me what I should be doing?

Do I flash 8105, then this one?

Thanks!

noobs..

is it that hard to connect your streak to PC and change the name of the directory from Andorid to android?? and put streakdroid directory inside??

If it's protected... put the SD card in card reader or someting... and than rename the first capital letter to lowecase.....

@majinvega:

It's already mentioned few pages back... 160

@Spike8585:

Have you used the rebelsim note in install.cfg??

or flashed nobaseband file for rebelsim users??

yes, and you than asked another stupid question...

thats all. I wanted to let anyone know ONE more time how it's done...

why even rename that folder to androiddata... when you can use it for sreakdroid?

Have you tried not renaming and flashing?

It's not that hard to flash one more time if it's not working... you won't lose any data

I used the 'nobaseband' command in the install.cfg

I saw the dell logo split into two and reveal the StreakDroid logo.

I assume that means that the install.cfg took, as per the 'bios' command? correct?

Was it ok that I went from 1.1.1?

Thanks!

Awesome build Steve! This was brilliant. Love the Bios boot, too.

Two suggestions I'd have:

-Give option to use Stock Animations/set animation speed

-Make US setting use 3G indicator instead of H

Anyways, loving this and keep up the great work!

Edit: Also, any way to make bios in landscape mode?

Edit 2: With the following install.cfg:

launcherpro

volboost

tabmail

us120

bios

My settings bar is black on black (black text black background), making it hard to read. Not too big a deal, though :D

My only issue in this build as in the last is the screen time out resets every time, other wise its all aces.

Don't use volboost. It has issues as mentioned before!

@Spike:

bios command is only for bios animation during boot...

have you tried factory reset? backup before doing that??

or wiping dalvik cache??

all that can be accomplished with new mistamadman's recovery image because clockworkmod's facotry reset doesn't wokr as it should

I feel like an idiot.

My install.cfg file was a txt that I saved as .cfg.

I ended up having a file that was install.cfg.txt with the txt extension hidden.

I don't know why OSX allows periods in its naming convention.

Anyways, it works now!

Thanks for your assistance LorD CLockaN.

great!!

I installed mine without install.cfg, but I didn't needed baseband

edit:

If you saved it via notepad.. during Save As menu you must give a neme with quotation marks like this "install.cfg" ... tha it will be save explicitly with .cfg extension. It won't add .txt at the end

Ah, great tip. Thanks!

Do you know what screen density was set for 1.1.1?

I used 160 for this, but everything looks huge.

Can I just go into the build.prop and change it to 240?

Why do you persist in asking questions that have already been answered a few pages previously?

Wow, I guess I had that backwards. I went to screen density of 240...Even my grandma could use it now.

Massive.

How can I fix the sound problem without installing another rom?

I had 2.2 318 not modified and updated 1.6. After the update all sounds are coming out of the in call speaker! What can I do?

PS. I didn't put the volboost!

:D

Fixed

Just uninstall soundhound and restart!

It took me 2 weeks to figure out soundhound was the cause. I am glad i am not the only one that happened to.
