Guest piab Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Please excuse my suspicious nature but why is the hash for this different to the hash for the more widespread version on other sites (e.g. slashdot)? Was there more than one version leaked? 323dd3ae73918ea9dd5edac4b3cb6d78 com.google.android.music.apk 8a023c7ed1185969d6b5c0a29b1b25e0 update_signed_testkey.zip cheers
Guest Flumpster Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Why are you comparing hashes of 2 totally different files? You must be able to see that one is a zip file and one is an apk ?

If I had I wouldn't have made the previous post. edit:Unzipped apk has same hash - 323dd3ae73918ea9dd5edac4b3cb6d78 Edited January 13, 2011 by piab

BTW, using PowerAMP with this Music player, first for the equalizer, second is for the look :D
Guest reluctant_traveller Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Works fine for me on Japanese Jellyfish RLS6. Going to install RL7 later this night and will report if still functional.
Guest David Horvath Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I still use mortplayer, and I'm loving it. :D
Guest onkel2k Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) Hi Yes, I checked & md5'ed the download, it isn't corrupted. I browsed the /system/lib Folder with an Filemanager and have seen that the File libjumper.so seems to be broken/wrong. It's just about 2mb big instead of 4mb. I think it could be related to the fact that I use RA-Recovery instead of CWM. Was anybody successful flashing the Music App with RA-Recovery? I will try to flash it with CWM later having flashed RLS7. EDIT: I flashed RLS7 and Music App wit RA-Recovery. Works great. Edited January 13, 2011 by onkel2k
Guest factro Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Hi It doesn't work for me on Japanese Jellyfish RLS6. When I try to open the App I just get one second a black screen and after that the App exits (no force close). Some weird problem happens after the flash for me: sync isn't stopping. I can neither stop it nor deactivate it. Thanks for your efforts. Boris I am Japanese Jellyfish RLS5..and it works for me..
Guest peter0118 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 It works with this version: put Music.apk in system/app with root explorer change attr. and reboot?
Guest Matthew Ferguson Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 It works with this version: put Music.apk in system/app with root explorer change attr. and reboot? I tried to do the same thing with terminal emulator and it wouldn't work so I got a workable flashable zip. Try it at your own peril! :D

Guest reluctant_traveller Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Using this with the Cyanogen nightly, now have a decent looking music player, and some equalisation using the DSPmanager. Pretty sweet being able to launch it directly from the lock screen too.

Oh cool, I hadn't gotten round to trying it with 2.3.2 yet, good to know it works  I think this thread should probably be renamed to Ice Cream though, as it's likely that's what this app is intended for. Is the lockscreen feature stock of Gingerbread or is it a Cyanogen customisation?
Guest reluctant_traveller Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Cyanogen lockscreen feature I believe, allows you to add an app of your choice to a 3rd 'drag down' icon. Also adds current album art and basic media controls to lockscreen if desired.

It's really good, and I'm using it full time now, as it's more stable than the Honeycomb app atm.
