Guest mobile579 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Can anyone who has purchased TheftAware tell me do you have to keep the full version APK backed up somewhere to reinstall if you install a new firmware (i.e. there is no market link)? There does not appear to be any kind of registered user website? Does this mean you have to install the APK your purchased and then use an inbuilt app update function? If you are using the San Francisco/Blade is TheftAware running as it should? TIA

Guest mobile579 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 If you use an application like TheftAware do you need to leave Sim Pin Lock off and Lock Screen Patterns off? I was thinking if you do not how is the phone going to receive messages for TheftAware to process and/or this is going to force the thief to install a new sim/factory reset. If you leave the Sim/Screen lock off anyone can pick up your lost phone and access your data so if you do not realise the phone is missing you have lost the benefit of TheftAware? TIA
Guest 900i Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Got Theft Aware running on my Blade.

Guest vespasianthesubguest Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Can I just ask something that's been bugging me about the anti-theft software... If you have a phone lock on and the phone gets nicked, the first thing the theives will do is a factory reset to by pass the phone lock. So you'd lose the ability then to find it. So if you buy any anti-theft software wouldn't you'd be better off leaving the phone lock off? Ta
