Guest Jatz76 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) Hi, After my last rom update (with the Energy rom) my phone seems to have lost its CSC (ie it does not show in the version screen). The phone itself seems to work ok except that I can't get Windows (XP or 7) to recognise it. It keeps coming up with "USB device not recognized". Would not having the CSC cause this? If the CSC is lost I would have thought the phone wouldn't boot seeing as it has the startup files. Also has the battery charging graphic which works ok. Hence it looks like its there. Is there some way to force Windows to recognise the phone? Thanks, J Edit: forgot to add that I've read though the forums and tried a million ways to get Windows to recognise the phone with no luck. Also did a hard reset. Edited January 13, 2011 by Jatz76
Guest MinaseTaki Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 did you try to flash again ? or is that impossible ?
Guest Jatz76 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 did you try to flash again ? or is that impossible ? I did try but the phone is unrecognised by Windows (just comes up as unrecognised device) so octans does not see it. Is there some factory reset I could do?
Guest kimitza Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 i don't get it..since you said you already tried EVERYTHING...how can we help? One more thing, does the phone start up? No, there is no factory reset....hard reset is the equivalent. I would try to reinstall the drivers for it, with the phone turned off.uninstall old driver from device manager, then scan for hardware changes and follow the steps. If this doesn't work...i would consider sending the phone to mr. elco.
