wi-fi not working

I have the same problem listed here where it always hangs at obtaining IP address no matter what wi-fi network I try to connect to.

I think a driver called com.lg.ers or something might have been uninstalled but but I don't know how. Any advice? It probably happened after rooting and uninstalling apps but I was very careful what I uninstalled and checked that it was ok to uninstall from what others' advice.

UPDATE: Whatever happened I just did a factory reset and it all works. Don't know why, I guess that driver had nothing to do with it and must have been some odd thing wrong. After the reset I got message settings from my tariff and everything worked there after
