This original korean Chang log! Thanks Redmirage... not sure if you spotted the first fix? Korean to English translation via google. Enhancements include shares, G-sensor malfunction, the standby mode power consumption, improve the system in standby mode when returning from intermittent slow down, add the Home button functionality (using the power button and home button), Calibratioin features include built-in. Include some minor enhancements, built-in user manual, include the boot logo has been changed. Shares? does this mean CIFS support??????
Guest Sir Gash Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Thanks for posting Redmirage! Shares? does this mean CIFS support?????? If only! I have a feeling that is some kind of translation glitch as shares are not mentioned in Redmirage's translation ;) One can but dream.....
Guest thedicemaster Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 the talk about the home/power button. is it the same "fix" as with the other roms?(single press=home, long-press=shutdown) if so, i don't like it. i'm perfectly fine with having my home button under the long-press-power menu.

I'm sure if it can be made to work one way it can be fixed to work the other.
Guest zzleezz Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Sitting in bed with flu. Don't feel like sweating in front of a computer tonight. Might give it a go tomorrow if I'm feeling better and nobody else has tried, that's assuming I make it through the night :-P

I would imagine it's like the 'Spare Parts' fix... press quickly and it works as 'Home', press around 1 second and it suspends, press 2 seconds to make the 'Shutdown / Suspend / etc' appear press 4 seconds to force power off
Guest HunteronX Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Has anyone tried it yet. Yes, it works fast, but it is in USB host mode, so no adb or usb mass storage... Has anyone tried the default (vega) boot.img with it? Edited January 18, 2011 by HunteronX
Guest alphaola Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Yes, it works fast, but it is in USB host mode, so no adb or usb mass storage... Has anyone tried the default (vega) boot.img with it? same here, tring to get it to slave mode. I tried the utility paul made but its stuck on your phone will reboot soon.
Guest simonta Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Might give you headaches doing the USB slave thing. It replaces the boot.img which includes the kernel. You end up with some sort of Frankenstinian monster :-) The answer is probably ADB wireless. I'll try it later. Grand-daughter has requisitioned my Vega for finger painting!!

I installed adb wireless but it says phone not rooted.
Guest rvdgeer Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) I installed adb wireless but it says phone not rooted. Yeah, been through this on the pov firmware... First install visionary r14 (look for it on modaco/the web)... Get it to temproot (try twice to be sure)... Then install the usb switcher... On running this, super user will ask you to allow or deny root access the first time... should be no problem from there on... Edited January 18, 2011 by rvdgeer

Yeah, I guess installing the performance pack can do no harm... But it can overwrite some files, rolling back some bugfixes on this build... Actually don't know if it will... Installing the MCR add-on would be a bad idea I guess... Edited January 18, 2011 by rvdgeer

Guest AlanBd Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Thanks to all contributing to this forum - without this kind of community, the vega wouldn't be anything like the device it is ;) ...anxiously waiting for r7 with these changes inbuilt?! :)
Guest simonta Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 OK. I flashed but the build wouldn't see my sdcard. However, can report that wireless ADB works. Back on stock with mcr6. Night all.
