Guest Nablet Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 I've been searching for days for a way to tether my Omnia II and I haven't found anything viable. The one programme I did find was PDANet but that's trial only and now that the trial's ended I can't use it. Does anyone know of an easy way to tether the phone without having to go through Bluetooth? My laptop hasn't got bluetooth and I don't want to have to buy a dongle for it, as it's just something else for me to lose. Thanks a lot for any help guys. This question was posted in the ROM section accidentally. I've changed my post there and reposting it here.

Works very well with USB, just connect phone to PC, open application, and click connect. Make sure you disable your wireless on your laptop or else it may not want to use the phone's connection. Otherwise there are other programs: WMWifiRouter, MobileAP, the HTC router program, ect.
Guest Nablet Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 This just shows how blind I am. I've had the phone for a year and just now realised how to use Internet sharing. Now that I've found it I was also able to activate it in Ubuntu. Thank you very much for the help, it is much appreciated!
