Guest paulus22 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 This seems to be a problem that has suddenly pop up from nowhere. I have the same problem with long capture times but it appears not to be just affecting Jelly-Fish. I used to get a sat fix within seconds with JJF r9 up until a few weeks ago. The only thing I can see that has changed is that (if I remember right) the app GPS Status was updated a few weeks back. http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...s-fix-problems/ Chris This is not an app that I use! Very strange. Still any update to gps.conf remains "unsuccessful".
Guest Yuccaman Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 This is not an app that I use! Very strange. Still any update to gps.conf remains "unsuccessful". Just tried again..... First time I tried without ReMounting first and I get told AntTek "does not have enough permissions". Used Remount to mount a RW and tried and got the same message in AntTek.... Killed the AntTek task and relaunched it and copied and this time worked fine.. And the delete afterwards was OK too... Not sure if ES will suffer the same, but did you have ES open BEFORE using Remount ? Is so, try Remounting first and THEN launching ES and this worked for me with AntTek....

Thanks for hangin' on in there. No I didn't have ES loaded, but just tried again, this time rebooting after using remount, but paste operation still failed.
Guest paulus22 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 (edited) Now trying with AntTek. Firstly, I cannot fathom in Antek how to complete a "paste" operation, secondly working directly in /system/etc I am allowed to do such things as rename the file, but when I edit it the save operation fails. My only hope is working out how to do a paste in AntTeK - any help? EDIT. Worked it out, managed to edit gps.conf, ES File Explorer was the problem - need AntTek, once worked out the paste operation all worked. Many thanks. Edited June 7, 2011 by paulus22
Guest Yuccaman Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 Good to hear - Now you mention it, I think I had fun figuring out how to paste something first time I used it... Seeing as you long press to copy, having a paste Icon wasn't the easiest to figure out ;)
