Surely the point of this ROM is the small screen.

Just wondering...when you say the sound is not working - do you mean ringtones as well? As this will make it a major no go for me.

Seriously amazing work.

On first post: "Sounds (fixing atm)"

Does that mean you know how to fix it? If so then I'm happy - it's been frustrating having no MP3 player for 3 days and having to swap my sim card to my Pulse to make calls! :(

Well I guess fixing means Ippe is working on it to fix the sound.

There's a difference between working on a fix and knowing how to fix it, he could just be investigating it. I'm just wondering how optimistic I should be, but maybe I should just wait for a release

Difference is minimal in this case. Ippe knows how to fix things (if I recall right, hecatae already shown us a partially fixed one where MSM7k sound modules were loaded), so fixing means wait a few days and you get working HC.

It would awsum!

With working sound, and without the destiny problem, it would epic.

Don't get me wrong, its already that, but its have some problem.

Yeah.. it was my post. I can get MsM7k modules, but it's just wait

W/AudioSystem( 265): AudioPolicyService not published, waiting...

I/ServiceManager( 265): Waiting for service media.audio_policy...

Any ideas how load that service on adb?

Hm, weird, it should load itself, until something is buggy... you get a bootloop with this message right?

As hecatae said, it is a mediaflinger (or to be more precise, audioflinger) problem, so swapping libaudioflinger with a CM7 one should solve the problem.

Can anyone give us an idea on quadrant scores? Has Google made any further optimizations to JIT, Dalvik, etc?

When will we get fixed version? I tested alpha 5 and I loved it cuz smaller screen and it just was different. And I tried to watch movie on RockPlayer(newest cyanogen 7) but FPS was about 13 and sound was in different time than video so I hope that would be better... Good luck and I hope that you'll fix sounds soon!!
