can someone advise, the boardconfig.mk for the cm7 boot.img has no reference to audio, so how does it work on cm7?

HECATAE I think you should ask that to cm7 topic.I don't think many people are watching this.I wish I could help.I have no PC this days.

Android 3.0, Honeycomb, was designed from the ground up for devices with larger screen sizes and improves on Android favorites such as widgets, multi-tasking, browsing, notifications and customization…We didn’t want to think about what it would take for the same software to run on phones. It would have required a lot of additional resources and extended our schedule beyond what we thought was reasonable. So we took a shortcut.

AOSP delayed so they can work on phone functionality

While we’re excited to offer these new features to Android tablets, we have more work to do before we can deliver them to other device types including phones… Until then, we’ve decided not to release Honeycomb to open source.

that's great news! but who is going to work on phone functionality? and which phone? ours :D? when do you think newer version will be released?

Google is working on phone functionality

Nope. Once Cm7 is done it would be nice to get this working.

Before Start of June when development for a Cm8 based on 2.4 might start...

Downloading Alpha 5.... be nice to give it a whizz, see what its like :)

Wow - its nice!

I think wifi works better than any other ROM personally.

When we get an ASOP release I hope we'll be able to fix the screen size and sound problems, they are probably the biggest.

Also, there is a possibility of getting calls/texts to work :)

It seems that Google changed the release policy of the source of Gingerbread, so we don't know when it will be open source.

I misread and thought you said "so we don't know if it will be open source."

God I was scared :L

a few things, this port uses the cm7 kernel, so waited for a couple of bugs to be removed, like the BFS lag.

there's also a few new modules available in the new froyo roms.

I'll get a new boot.img generated end of today.

going gen2, both Ippe H and me are now on gen2 so there is no point developing for gen1 as we have no device to test with.

new boot.img already made with cm7.0.2 kernel
