thanks, sansuni, but I've already used that one, it's sort of "official" mirror. But it's broken, specially the eclair branch (where I wanted to start before moving on to froyo).

kernel.org has been down for quite a few weeks now so it should be coming up soon, I suppose...

it may never get back up.. i think while it's down, you should keep practicing on froyo.. (it may give you better idea about what is what)

I tested the 2.2 and 2.3, None of them work(they DO flash, but it just hangs in the bootloader).
