Guest highender Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) Anyone want to test something? http://hotfile.com/dl/102477323/1be533d/r0...signed.zip.html - MD5 : bebdb7330a61be7fcfb5f39db83d4388 I have no way of testing this, so I have no idea if it even boots... but its worth a go..... Its not 100% but I've basically repeated the same things I do to remove the OUK stuff from the Blade/... all the non-standard/voda branded stuff is gone, and I've included superuser, and busybox, etc... if it actually boots and works OK then I will make a new post with more details... Any feedback welcome.. tho I'm mostly expecting 'it dont work' so make sure you do a backup before you start. I understand well that it is a stripped-ROM for ZTE joe? edit: well: tested : install via clockwork like a "install zip from sdc" free usr memory after boot 131MB, (i have normaly 126MB) all tests passed... calls, wifi, sms, youtube video, music (mp3), foto... etc the phone seems a bit faster... superuser report a new version but update doesnt work, make zip file on sdc but has oKB and in clockwork report bad file thats all... very nice work... :-D ... if you want/need any specifik test you must wrote ... :P Edited February 7, 2011 by highender

Guest cuttysark76 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 thanks for the feedback, thats better than I was expecting :P Is that the standard (looking) email client that then is vodafone branded?? Yes, vodafone mail client is the default/standard one and is the one that is linked to the quick launch shortcuts at the stock rom, although I've deleted it, and now I have a non working shortcut...

Guest cuttysark76 Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Would this handset benefit from JIT? If yes, how can I install it? Is it possible to add a ROM Dump function to clockworkMod Recovery?
Guest Sebastian404 Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Would this handset benefit from JIT? If yes, how can I install it? Is it possible to add a ROM Dump function to clockworkMod Recovery? JIT? The problem with adding romdump to ClockworkMod Recovery is that you've already lost the original recovery image, since you have installed clockworkmod.... while you dont NEED the recovery for most people, quite a few people want to restore their device all the way at times.
Guest cuttysark76 Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) JIT? I've been reading all over the internet claims of 30% boost performance in their handsets, after JIT instalation... Since I use my Joe/945 underclocked (320mhz), in order to get an extra day or two of battery, a performance boost would be most welcome! I have tryed some JIT update zip files, but clockworkMod 3.0.0.5 doesn't handle them (Amend Scripts) and I can't find an JIT zip with Edify script... I'm feeling quite stupid after read your answer... Sorry. Quite obvious. Edited February 9, 2011 by cuttysark76

Guest Sebastian404 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 well, I've got the Voda.DE ROM and an updated version of devoda to upload, but the hotel internet is running at such a slow rate its not going to be done before the end of the month. if I cant find any decent internet next week in MWC I'll upload them back end of next week when I'm home.
Guest cuttysark76 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 updated version of devoda Cool. I miss testing! Can you give us a short description of the changes? BR
Guest Sebastian404 Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Managed to get the German recovery uploaded.. http://ftpb.free.fr/roms/zte/joe/ Its an older version that PT version we have, so I don't think there will be much benifit to be had from it.. but still... nice to have more options :P
