Guest fguimas Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Hi, I think we all want a new rom for ZTE Joe, but we cant simply test the Racer and the Blade Rom in ZTE Joe , because at least Touchscreen is different and it wil never work. As i tell before the hardware is almost equal to Blade or Racer but must put Joe Touchscreen Driver in the Racer/Blade rom to be functional in Joe. Maybe the Blade/Racer rom develloprs can help us. I Think they can take the ZTE Joe touchscrren Driver from ZTE Joe original source code. Best Regards
Guest Sebastian404 Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 Maybe the Blade/Racer rom develloprs can help us. I Think they can take the ZTE Joe touchscrren Driver from ZTE Joe original source code. The problem we have found is that the touch screen driver in the orignal source is broken too, if you look back through this thread you will see an debranded rom with a overclocked kernel that I built, it works but the touch screen driver is not so good. there is a 2.2 version of the V9 that has been dumped and from looking at the kernel for that, there seems to be support in the source code for the Joe, so it would look like ZTE have a 2.2 kernel that will support the Joe, I guess all we can do now is wait for them to release the source... Or an offical update.
Guest bluelayer Posted March 20, 2011 Report Posted March 20, 2011 hi Sebastian404 i'm having problems with mms in this phone (i'm not using any mod in firmware etc). every mms i receive comes "compressed", if i use another fone there is no problem. exemple: sending one mms with 150kb from nokia phone receiving it at vf945 - 30kb :S (size and resolution very lower) receiving it with alcatel - 150kb.... did you catch the idea? do you have any fix to this? thank you
Guest cuttysark76 Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 There seems to be support in the source code for the Joe, so it would look like ZTE have a 2.2 kernel that will support the Joe, I guess all we can do now is wait for them to release the source... Or an offical update. good the ear... What about AOSP based roms? Are they hard to port?
Guest Nuno Cabral Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Is possible to extract the screen drivers, from the ZTE joe source code? This source code doesn´t help to make the 2.2 Roms work in joe? http://support.zte.com.cn/support/news/New...px?type=service
