Guest Paul Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 PP bits (i.e. the newest Nvidia libraries) aren't in 1.08. In fact, there's not a huge amount changed in 1.08. P
Guest Thresherinc Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) r7 pre7 online, with Windows flashing via script FIXED! ;) If you want to grab the batch file only (the only change), you can find it here. P This still didn't work for me, however I only downloaded the script, I'm downloading the entire thing and trying again, will post results. EDIT: Didn't work, I suspect something in the initial attempt. Reflashed 1.0.8 Will try again. Edited February 3, 2011 by Thresherinc
Guest MaxiP Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 AdFree doesn't seem to want to work - error "unable to locate a partition to remount to write the hosts file to" Haven't noticed that before.
Guest Thresherinc Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Upgrade script worked. System booted. Checking it now.
Guest Sir Gash Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 AdFree doesn't seem to want to work - error "unable to locate a partition to remount to write the hosts file to" Haven't noticed that before. Works for me, have you unchecked the symlink option?
Guest Lennyuk Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Works for me, have you unchecked the symlink option? Reboot then try again, worked for me
Guest labaude Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Hi Paul and thanks for your work. I managed to restore with a clean 1.08, added the R6 package and applied the R7. Everything now works very well apart from the USB Host. If i select it, i have the message Switching usb mode, your device will reboot shortly and i wait. In your post : 01/Feb r3: USB Mode (host / slave switcher) You mention that Slave / Host mode is indicated in Settings -> About Nothing on my Vega. I did not use the r3 DOWNLOAD (ROMraid Load Balancing) - MD5: b13c86264ffa2fb50bdd81912a7aeb74 knowing that it is included in the R7. Thanks for your answer if you can help.

Guest Thresherinc Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) I am having issues with superuser privileges. ClockSync was the first app I spotted it with, quick boot didn't work either, I am rebooting and trying again to see if it helps. EDIT: I have rebooted the device. ClockSync cannot get superuser privs, neither can Quick Boot. Edited February 3, 2011 by Thresherinc

Deleted SuperUser cache but still othing edit - Button Saviour doesn't work either Edited February 3, 2011 by MaxiP
Guest mjcampbell12 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I get these issues with games, can pretty much guarantee that at any given point during a game of Droid Words Free there will be some artefacts over the letter tiles and buttons beneath (and generally all over the place). These issues started appearing after updating to the r2 kernel (running MCR 1.0.6 - gonna try this this evening or maybe hold off till there's more news on the glitches) Paul, you're a fecking legend! i get screen issues too using stock 1.08 then using CWM to put on r7 pre7. any solution would be awesome. ps thanks for all the hard work paul you definitely deserve LEGEND status
Guest Thresherinc Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Investigating... P If you need anything running post it in here, happy to help and doing nothing today other than read books or play with my Vega. ;)

Guest labaude Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) Is USB Debugging enabled labaude? P Yes USB Debugging is enable... I did not insert any usb device... but don't know if it's necessary. I never managed to have the usb port working for USB key or usb HD in version 1.08 or your R6. Edited February 3, 2011 by labaude
Guest Paul Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Looking into the 'graphics tearing' atm, that live wallpaper is perfect for recreating the issue. ;) P
Guest HugoQueiriga Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I have some issues with this test version r7 pre6. Battery drainage - 1hour web use taken 15% battery wifi on no other widgets apps running background only Dolphin HD. Touch type is even worse, with double presses or continues key presses even though I was not touching screen.(This could just be my screen being faulty, however it seems much worse now) I also get graphic glitches "tearing" mainly in Dolphin HD.
Guest Akt3 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I try to install the r7 and no way. I was stuck on the cmd and the command "development and connect to pc ...." Sorry for my english
Guest Thresherinc Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Flash Player claimed to be the wrong version when trying to watch YouTube. Uninstalled and Re-installed. Result = No change ;)
Guest Sir Gash Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Flash Player claimed to be the wrong version when trying to watch YouTube. Uninstalled and Re-installed. Result = No change ;) I have been using the latest version from the Market, just uninstall any version you have and then install the one from the Android Market, this worked for me.
