Guest That-Guy Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) where do you get the small Android Sticker from ? Many Thanks Here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Android-mobile-phone...3#ht_500wt_1156 They just cover the Orange Logo Fine :P Apply with a little water so you can slide the sticker to exactly the right place, then wait for it it dry before peeling application tape off, works perfect! Guest StevenHarperUK Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 the french's one :P nothing written in front :D If you can ever get hold of these cases (and you don't mind losing your warranty) then its a 10 minute Job to swap cases.
Guest DJ PIGG Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) and what about the logo? :P LOL!! Nice one!!! Edited February 7, 2011 by DJ PIGG
Guest drews Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Success! After a few arguments with myself whether or not to potentially damage my new OSF, I decided to take the plunge and try and remove the logo! As you can see it came out rather well with no side effects :P I used some isopropanol alcohol first of all to try and rub off the ink but it didn't seem to have much effect, so then i took a medium sized knife (sharp!) and used this to try and scrape the logo off. I DID NOT use any force with the knife for fear or scratching the surface, but just used the weight of the knife to have the desired effect :D)
Guest Colcut Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 I can't believe all this effort everyone is putting into removing a logo that you never see anyway. Not that I like orange, I dislike their customer service and pricing scheme.
Guest craigwn Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Glad to see im not the only one who was annoyed by the logo. I know you hardly ever see it, but when i did it annoyed me! Have been doing this with every phone I have owned since the spv c500! its amazing how by flashing a generic rom and removing the hardware branding how much a phones value used to increase, I sold my mda vairo as a HTC wizard got nearly £100 more from cex.co.uk at the time, not that i'm planning on selling my san francisco, best phone i have had for a long while :P
Guest DroidNewbie2010 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 oh dear.... guys... just pick up a penny coin from your wallet and easily do the job within a minute! I did it this way and my SF battery cover looks as good as new... not even a tiny scratch whatsoever... (mine is white... doubt if it would work on grey one though since it is rubber material).
Guest Sanddancer75 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Has anyone tried removing the rubber coating from a grey handset? Mine looks terrible as it's all peeling away around the corners & edges (all except the bloody Orange logo!).
Guest robinhud2010 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 i`ve done it with nail olish remover now.. works perfect, no scratches, just my hand hurts after 15 minutes of rubbing :D Which SF do you have - the grey one or the white one :P ?
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Nailed it! wachhh looks worst on the photos
Guest ManMetDeHamer Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I have the white version but the logo came off realy quick using a cube of sugar no scratches and its fully gone :P
Guest 90180360 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) wachhh looks worst on the photos Yeah, my post was kind of ironic. But I'm happier with the scar than with the orange tattoo. Edited February 8, 2011 by 90180360
Guest Zalforto Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I can't believe all this effort everyone is putting into removing a logo that you never see anyway. Can hardly call 10 minutes of rubbing my finger in a circle with some sugar underneath 'effort'. Personally I hate 'branded' stuff, especially for an overpriced Mobile phone company, so removing the logo was a joy! :P
Guest Ficus Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 If you can ever get hold of these cases (and you don't mind losing your warranty) then its a 10 minute Job to swap cases. where can i find those?
Guest Michealtbh Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I rubbed my logo off in less than a minute using a scouring sponge
Guest TheBrainKafka Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I rubbed my logo off in less than a minute using a scouring sponge from a grey one?

Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Nicely done :D Do NOT try this on the grey rubber coated blade :D haha wish I'd seen this before I tried, its a total mess back there now...
Guest Michealtbh Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 from a grey one? No, white. Sorry, should have stated this in the first place
Guest Azurren Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Just buy a mini android sticker to cover the orange logo. Sorted (Show your colours :D)
Guest Rizzler Posted March 26, 2011 Report Posted March 26, 2011 Would never have the balls to take a knife to my Blade :( Plus its the black one so wouldn't work! I went for small Android Sticker and Black Resin Case :D Same here. :D
