Guest CowboyDan Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 I installed cyanogen on my GT540 a couple of weeks ago, after a LOT of headaches. I lost my boot and powered-off charging screens when I installed the fastboot ROM, then when I finally got Cyanogen running I've been having problems left right and centre... but this particular problem has rendered my phone completely useless. From the moment I installed Cyanogen the battery monitor was all over the shop. It would go up while not connected to a charger, down in large amounts randomly, but most strange it would actually drop by HUGE amounts while connected via USB. The last time my phone was working it had been on charge all day and the battery had dropped from 90% in the morning to 8% in the evening, so I unplugged it, rebooted, plugged it back in and went to work. I came home and my phone had switched off and wouldn't switch on again. If I remove the battery for a while and replace it then try to power it up, the phone will vibrate like it's supposed to but then nothing happens at all - no screen, no lights, and my computer doesn't recognise it when I plug it in. I had planned to remove Cyanogen and go back to 2.1 but this problem has completely bricked my phone, I have no idea what to do. I can't boot safe mode or fastboot mode, and I can't re-flash the phone with KDZ_FW_UPD in CS_EMERGENCY mode (says 'PHONE NOT FOUND'). I have tested my USB ports and they are delivering 500mA @ 5V, so they're fine. I've tested the cable continuity, and it's fine. The problem has to be in the phone... Can anyone help??
Guest destroyerGT540 Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) When I bricked mine I manually put it into download mode (vol down + power for mine) then started up KDZ_FW_UPD in DIAG, worked. Your problem is worse though. Just a thought, leave the battery out and connect the usb and see what happens. Edited February 5, 2011 by destroyerGT540
