Guest andycanada Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 i tried cm7 beta2 and i'm unable to connect to my wifi network. It shows the network and I enter my wpa password, but it is unable to resolve an ip address
Guest whatcolour Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) ****************CM7 UI SPEED FIX********************* Just a tmp fix, but works quite well. Go to Market, install Gingerbread Launcher from Steven Lin and use that instead of ADW, then appreciate a great CM7 rom! Thanks, Tom G! and TBH, this is the first time I realised that stock 2.3 launcher can be as smooth as LP! touchscreen just gone unresponsive after playing a game though, but hey it's still a great rom considering this is only beta 2. Guest whatcolour Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 :P :D Yes i have, i'm not that bad. Done all usual wipes etc...MD5 matches. :-) know u rock, m8. that would be all the help I can offer though :-)
Guest x.balli.x Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Stagefright is enabled by default, no need to add the libs :D Actually, in 2.2 (and over) Stagefright replaces OpenCore except if you tell the system to use opencore instead of SF. lol sorry, am not a dev so thought of trying it out....... :P
Guest Frankish Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 :-) know u rock, m8. that would be all the help I can offer though :-) Thanks anyway for at least replying :D I got an idea...will post back :P
Guest rishie Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 :P :D Yes i have, i'm not that bad. Done all usual wipes etc...MD5 matches. Do a system format (mounts and storage > format system) and then flash this image... only then it worked for me...
Guest ivanko021 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Not sure if it affects font but that the correct resolution anyway so there should be no side affects. Actually i'm trying to make my Gingerbread Keyboard's font smaller (i'm on JJRLS9 at the moment and it's normal but I like the smaller CM6/7 version more) so that's why I asked. Changing the qemu.sf.lcd_density=240 to 220 makes the whole UI smaller so no luck with that. By the way is there any possibility to enable overclocking on these versions of CM? If such thing happens it would be the greatest ROM!
Guest Frankish Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Do a system format (mounts and storage > format system) and then flash this image... only then it worked for me... I selected to wipe system but maybe format system works different? Will try that next...
Guest x.balli.x Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) ops!!!! Edited February 7, 2011 by x.balli.x
Guest fonix232 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 I selected to wipe system but maybe format system works different? Will try that next... Yep do that, looks like the new formatting system introduced in CM7's script does not work properly... I got back a barely working CM6-CM7 mix after flashing without a system format :P
Guest x.balli.x Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 any fix for the lights and proximity sensor?
Guest whatcolour Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 Angry Birds works ever so fast when moved back to phone storage (crashed when installed in sdcard). After swapping over adw with 2.3 stock launcher, fixing keyboard size and power button, I might be repeating myself but this rom is simply fantastic!
Guest fonix232 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 any fix for the lights and proximity sensor? I tried but did not succeed, although now I got the button lights working :P
