Guest rayraven Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Unnoficial update time! Cyanogen 7 R2.5 - For those who don't want to muck around with the files. Fixes: Lights, power Button, Keyboard & white screen problems. Download: BladeCyanogenMod7R2.5 MD5: 797a2d6a4fabeeba60502d96ec043052 Thanks rayraven for pointing out the keyboard fix. Sweet, so what's still broken?
Guest Salsaholic Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Sweet, so what's still broken? +1 Seems like the two issues in initial post are not yet fixed: No video camera and no preview in camera. FM Radio doesn't work. Besides that, I'm wondering how far close this is to a ROM suitable for daily use... the initial post looks like it's quite a usable ROM already (yeah, it's beta, but how long did Paul call his ROM's alpha?)... but then I read comments about first making it run smoothly before thinking about YouTube etc. If this is really too early for normal use, I'd suggest to state that in the initial post very clearly. Otherwise this thread might get (even more) flooded with beginner's questions. (That's not meant to be condescending, I'd see myself as a beginner, too!)

Guest popoyaya Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Great work everyone involved in this. Blade + Modaco is a relationship that just keeps on giving :P A couple of questions: Does the Cyanogenmod audio DSP work? Will it still be possible to use the audioboost.zip to increase the output volume of the blade? Is this rom overclockable (yet)? Thanks
Guest hecatae Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) Sweet, so what's still broken? if on your previous rom you chose 2g network only, unticking it does not enable 3g in cm7 https://github.com/TomGiordano/android_device_zte_blade 5 new files on the kernel tree Edited February 11, 2011 by hecatae
Guest skymera Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 instaled the keyboard HTC_IME v.27 and works very well and in normal size! I tried installing HTC_IME v.27 but the keyboard just didn't work =\ Care to link to what apk you used?

Guest NonameXx Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) Can't find my wifi network. Its a bug or user error? (cm7) Edited February 11, 2011 by NonameXx
Guest Swiftes Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Forgive me if this has been already asked, but is the bug list on the front page for CM6.1 or CM7? If just the latter, is 6.1 fully working atm? I dont mind experimental roms normally but I need 100% working atm for work use.

Ehm general question, is hw acceleration enabled by default in cm6/cm7? didn't find the apropriate entries in build.prop !
Guest Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 I just want to ask, how games are running on cm7? example angry birds (cause on 2.2 flb8 rom, some levels a lil bit laggy or sometimes fully unplayable for a few seconds) And the other, what features dont work on this rom exactly? I am playing need for speed shift and game play seems quite good !
Guest leszekpap Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 I tried install 6.1 and 7.5 with new clock 3.0.5 (moded) but I always get error: assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") =="|| getprop("ro.build.device") at the begining. even if I turn off assets in `instal from sd` menu. what to do with this ?

Guest sebbo90 Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 right been playign with all the settings in spareparts and dev tools and cyanogen settings to try and get the on/off screen animation, as suggested by various threads after a quick google search. Anyone with some good android knowledge know why it doesn't seem to work on this device?

I'm getting a boot loop with this atm, I'll try redownloading. Edit: Still boot looping even after redownload. The CyanogenMod 7 boot screen comes on, then after a while freezes and restarts. Continues ad infinitum. Edited February 11, 2011 by Hopelessness

Guest LVL91 Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) Didn't work for me too i had to install the modded clockwork recovery. Well, i just installed CM7 with the 'unmodified' clockwork from seb404 and turning asserts off. Make sure you toggle the asserts twice, because the first time it will enable the asserts, toggle it again and you will disable it! :P Edited February 11, 2011 by LVL91

Guest k0nrad Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 What's exactly the status of this ROM related to the CyanogenMod project as a whole? Is it still an unofficial port only, or going to be included as a 'supported device' soon enough? I mean, has any effort been already made to make it 'official'?

Guest RipZ Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 in clockwork make sure to go to mounts and completely format the system before installing. After installing the firmware, I flash gapps. Phone boots, I see first-time screen, setting language, etc.. Phone cycle rebooting. How do I install Google apps? Thanx.
Guest Cirno Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) Having trouble with, youtube, its shuttering and 2D games seem to run fair, but 3D games doesn't run at all, CM6b2. With CM7b2.5 I can't still see youtube videos it shutters and sound is distorted at all points(with youtube/music player/spotify) but rest seem to work normally. Still concered about 2D performance, is relevant slow and 3D performance not as good without the adreno200 driver but its not bad at all. Edited February 11, 2011 by Cirno
