The roms I have released so far will be the last I release. My code is available for anyone that wants to play with it (and I know a few people have successfully built roms from it) and I may make a few changes to the github code, but I won't be releasing any roms. Once Jacob's code is merged any contributions I make will be through the cyanogenmod code review system and will end up in the nightly builds.

So glad its being merged into the nightly's tbh :P Now we know there will be constant development and it wont be just down to one dev doing all the work, you can have a break... Thanks for actually making it usable so far im sure we would have been waiting a good few weeks before work even started on this if it werent for you & jacob :D

We have to some degree. We have discussed things on irc and I think helped each other with various problems, but for various reasons he has redone some of the work I had already done. Jacob's rom has now progressed further than mine and fixed the few problems that remain, so I will not be contributing anything further until Jacob's code is merged into the official project. The code should hopefully be merged in the next few days and official nightly builds will follow.

Once the code is merged it will make working together on any issues much easier and should reduce the problems we have now of everyone doing their own thing.

I want to be clear that I have no problem with the way any of this has gone, Jacob is a great guy and we get along well.

For now I have some other projects that I have been neglecting, so for a few days I can put some time into those.

So, probably, in a week, we will get official nightlies? Oh, I feel, the good old days like on my G1 will come back :P

In CM6.1 there's a proxy option in Wireless Setings, if the focus is moving to CM7 can the proxy option be ported/moved across please?

This is my final repackage now, hope you all enjoy it & look forward to official CM which will be coming soon :P

Cyanogen 7 B3r4 - Unnoficial update for those who want an original CM7 with fixes they can't/don't want to do themselfs.

Fixes: (stuff in italics = new stuff since previous build.)

Keyboard

Video overlay

APN list fixed

Forgot to add something in last build

Some speedups (forgot to mention them in last build)

Smaller in size so you can put this & gapps on a 125mb partition now!

Download:

http://www.zshare.net/download/864954206d7f8259/

http://rapidshare.com/#!download|948tl...7B3r4.zip|87096

Size: 83.1MB zip / 119.7MB when extracted

MD5SUM: f3d81d4d110e14263801d48009c89779

Before installing CyanogenMod7, make sure you have the Latest Clockwork otherwise you will run into problems, after checking you have the latest clockwork, simply wipe then install Cyanogen then if you want gapps Click Here to download them then simply flash them on with clockwork. (reason I didn't add them into rom was because CM frown upon it.)

I am not responsible if you obtain any misfortunes.

exactly, too much horse power and your be reaching for the charger to often which is why i said it might not be necessary with a fully working cm7 which should have enough performance to do whatever needs to be done. Also not forgeting the risks of overclocking.Although many overclock with no problems at all,not every processor is exactly the same,so what is ok for one blade may be a brick for another!

Have you guys actually tried AHB overclocking before? When running JJ I found barely any difference in battery life once the AHB overclock was applied; it was still a day and a half. Even when I also O/C the CPU to 729 MHz, the reduction in battery life was barely noticable. The difference in power consumption is bugger all when you compare it to that of the display. Furthermore, if you have an AMOLED screen, you can mostly offset that by just using a darker theme (with white text on black etc). The performance enhancement, on the other hand, is huge.

In conclusion, O/C doesn't mean poor battery life!

Please remember that ArmV6 is now pretty old (which is why you won't see Flash 10 or Google Earth developed for it), so it needs all the help it can get :P

Great news about the future daily builds!

yes I have overclocked,my daily rom is RLS9,with overclock, and for me battery life was terrible, and performance was not greatly improved, things where a little smoother.

Really the gains of overclocking only exist in the minds of those obsessed with overclocking, the gains in reality are not so great compared to the risk of causing permanent damage to your processor.

I can tell from that comment that you clearly have little understanding of the matter, and overclocking in general. This is going way off topic now so let's leave it at that, there are plenty of threads that have discussed this in more detail which you should read.

Only flash lite which is based on flash 9 I think; Adobe dropped development of flash 10 for ArmV6 ages ago.
